This is not your typical afternoon at the library. It's Family Fun Day, and a magical man with a big hat has suddenly appeared. A crowd gathers to see what kinds of tricks this surprise visitor will perform. That's when the Magician pulls off his favorite trick of all. He invites kids to reach into his hat to pull out whatever they find when they dig down deep. Soon - poof! - each child comes away with something better than they could've imagined - a book that helps them become whatever they want to be, and makes their dreams come true through words and the adventures that follow.

How can Henley find a story that speaks to everything inside of him?

Welcome to a day in the life of Rhodes. The new kid at school. He's the only student who eats lunch alone, ends up at the back of the line, can't throw a ball far enough, gets mixed up in math, and reads slower than everyone else. Every day, Rhodes wonders... Will people ever see me? Will someone ever hear me? Will anybody ever try to understand? Then Mr. Burton, the new school librarian, arrives with a Super-Duper Bookshelf that changes everything.
