Homi-LAY is a play on the word Homily, which is what most would refer to as the sermon during a Catholic Mass.Typically, it is the responsibility of the Priest or Deacon to deliver the Homily each Sunday at the Mass, and they generally do a wonderful job!For this Podcast I have 3 goals in mind:1. To allow a space for those who attend Mass regularly yet become quickly distracted during the readings and Homily due to various things (i.e. kids, quiet readers/sound systems, the "big game" coming up, etc.) to focus and listen to the readings each week BEFORE they enter the Mass.2.
