Sleepy Hollow, a supposedly haunted glen on the outskirts of Tarry Town, is home to a particularly ghoulish fiend - the Headless Horseman - who is said to be the specter of a fallen soldier. Ichabod Crane, a schoolmaster from Connecticut, competes with local hero Abraham 'Brom Bones' Van Brunt for the affections of the young, beautiful, and wealthy Katrina Van Tassel.

This is an audio-enhanced version of Washington Irving's classic tale of horror and suspense, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" - complete with sound effects and a musical soundtrack. It relates the story of Ichabod Crane, the lanky Tarrytown schoolmaster who is vying for the hand of the local beauty Katrina Van Tassel, along with local strongman and bully Brom Bones. After attending a party at the Van Tassels' one fall night, Crane learns of the legend of the mysterious and spectral Headless Horseman, who rides by night and terrorizes those who dare to travel Tarrytown by night.

Once there was a young school teacher named Ichabod Crane who was entranced by a young maiden by the name of Katrina, daughter of Dutch farmer Baltus Van Tassel. Hoping to win her heart from the hero (and infamous rowdy) of Terrytown, Abraham "Brom Bones" Van Brunt, young Ichabod attends a lavish party at the Van Tassel home. As the school teacher leaves after the party, he is pursued by the deadliest, most famed of all specters, the ghost of a Hessian Trooper, more famously known as….The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.
