In our weekly recap episode we review action involving Calgary area clubs over the Victoria Day long weekend.

The Calgary Wild and Montreal Roses played to a 2-2 draw on Saturday at McWoman Stadium. The Wild picked up their first point of the season in dramatic fashion as hometown hero Mya Jones made a triumphant return from injury.

Cavalry FC return from their trip to the Lower Mainland with 3 points as they defeated Vancouver FC 2-0. The Cavs sit second in the CPL table but they have Inter Toronto FC right on their heels.

There was one Alberta Premier League match on the weekend as Cavalry II defeated Callies United. We talk about that match and preview the full slate of games happening on Tuesday evening.

Cavalry FC makes their way to Langley to take on Vancouver FC in CPL action while the Calgary Wild have a home match vs Montreal this weekend. Could we see Mya Jones make her NSL and Wild debut? It's a pretty quiet week in the Alberta Premier League, but did have a chance to interview one of the league's young stars. We spoke with Isabelle Lachance, who plays forward for the Calgary Villains and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

The AMSL quietly kicked off its season recently. We discuss some of the changes to the league in 2026.

Our weekend recap episode is a bit shorter than usual this week as the Calgary Wild had the week off. But there was an important Canadian Championship matchup between Cavalry FC and Pacific FC on Vancouver Island. The Cavs were victorious and will move on to the next round of the tournament. They will be facing the Vancouver Whitecaps in July. We review the Cavs vs Pacific matchup and talk a bit about the scheduling of the next round. And we discuss the likelihood of the legend Thomas Müller playing at Spruce Meadows.

The Alberta Premier League had a full slate of action this past weekend. Fraser Aird made his Calgary Foothills debut vs Cavalry II and scored the winning goal. The Wild U23 won again with a lineup of some very impressive names. Blizzard went up to St. Albert to play the Impact to renew that rivalry. We discuss these all of the matches that happened on Friday and Saturday.
