She jumps on the 61 to Hayfield to scope out the village, and in particular two pubs: the much lauded foodie spot The Pack Horse and the seemingly equally loved but now permanently closed The Royal. She later arranges to meet a member of the community fighting for its future, but will he show? Join the still optimistic Maria on her walk along the Sett Valley trail, with a beautiful viewpoint and a brief chat with a pick-axe-wielding local, and experience the dramatic sounds of The Torrs in New Mills.
