  • From Routine Prayers To Real Relationship
    Jun 15 2026

Most of us learned to pray by repeating familiar words at familiar times, but what happens when those words stop reaching our heart? David and Tracy Sellers take us into Matthew 6 and the Lord’s Prayer, not as a script to speed through, but as Jesus’ clear invitation into a real relationship with our Heavenly Father that strengthens a Christian marriage from the inside out. Along the way, we talk about how prayer habits form in families, why routines can turn into empty ritual, and how to regain confidence when praying out loud with your spouse feels awkward.

We slow down over “Our Father in heaven” and why that single word “our” changes the posture of a couple. We also wrestle honestly with “Hallowed be your name” and “Your kingdom come, your will be done,” because surrender is where control issues surface. If you’ve ever wondered whether God can be trusted with your marriage, your plans, or your deepest fears, this conversation gives language for that tension and a path forward.

Then we explore “Give us today our daily bread” as both God’s provision and our spiritual hunger for Scripture and Christ as the Bread of Life. We close with the heart work Jesus includes on purpose: forgiveness, battling temptation, and ending with praise that puts everything back where it belongs, with God’s kingdom and God’s glory. • What If Blessed Is Not What You Think
    Jun 8 2026

You can hit the goal, buy the thing, fix the schedule, even get your spouse to change a little and still feel that ache that nothing seems to touch. We start a brand-new series called The Bible for Marriage by naming that restless pursuit for what it is: chasing a cloud. Instead of adding more self-help noise, we go straight to God’s Word as the only true source for an abundant life and a biblically healthy marriage. From there, we open Matthew 5 and slow down over the Beatitudes, the opening of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. “Blessed” isn’t a vague religious word. It carries the idea of “oh, how happy,” and Jesus attaches real promises to each statement: comfort, satisfaction, seeing God, being called children of God, and the kingdom of heaven. We also talk honestly about why these verses can feel distant or discouraging when we read them too fast or only see our failures. We unpack the Beatitudes as a refining process that touches three relationships at once: our relationship with ourselves, our relationship with God, and our relationship with others, including our spouse. We walk through the “emptying” of being poor in spirit, mourning over sin, and learning meekness from Jesus, then we turn to the filling that comes from hungering and thirsting for righteousness. Finally, we connect mercy, purity of heart, peacemaking, and even persecution to what it looks like to live out faith inside a real home with real conflict. If this encouraged you, subscribe, share the episode with a friend who needs hope for their marriage, and leave a review so more couples can find biblical marriage help.

  • How Biblical Discipline Calms Kids And Protects Marriage
    Jun 1 2026

The hardest part of parenting isn’t always your child’s tantrum or defiance. It’s what that moment awakens in you and what it does to your marriage. We’ve all seen the public meltdown scene, and many of us have lived it at home: anger rises fast, words get sharp, and suddenly one spouse is trying to protect the kids from the other spouse’s wrath. Over time, some parents disengage because they don’t trust themselves to discipline, and the home starts to feel like “single parenting” even with two married adults under the same roof.

We take you to Hebrews 12 to rebuild the whole definition of discipline around God’s Word. God doesn’t discipline because He’s done with us, but because He loves us, trains us, and wants a harvest of righteousness and peace. That changes how we interpret parenting stress and family conflict. We also unpack a key distinction: restoration after someone else’s sin versus discipline that God plans for our good, using a surgeon versus emergency room doctor analogy to show how God can be doing both in our lives at once.

Then we get very practical. Biblical discipline isn’t venting and it isn’t mechanical. The goal is repentance that leads to forgiveness and real change. We talk about forgiving your kids for the past, confessing your built-up anger to them no matter their age, and teaching them how to ask forgiveness with sincerity and specifics. When parents practice self-discipline under God’s loving hand, we can finally correct our kids without rage and rebuild trust instead of fear.

If this encouraged you, subscribe, share this with a worn-out parent, and leave a review so more couples can find biblical counsel for marriage and parenting. What’s one step you need to take this week?
