• Episode 51: In honour of Autumn's Second Heavenly Birthday
    Dec 24 2025

We couldn't get through this episode without crying. Sonia speaks about her baby girl, Autumn so beautifully and with so much love. Her sweet girl was stillborn at 32 weeks after battling three years of infertility. We talk about the moment she learned the heartbreaking news and the birth of her sweet daughter.

"I can't live in a world where I can't connect with her" is something Sonia shares and it resonated so deeply with me. We talk about signs and all of the ways that Autumn has shown up for her. We say we feel less crazy when we hear other people's stories too. Too many stories that go beyond coincidences and it just has to be our babies.

We also laugh a lot because there's something so comforting about finding another mom who's part of this club too.

Sonia is also pregnant again and I can't wait to have her back on the podcast to talk all things pregnancy after loss and all the layers that brings.

  • Episode 49: Returning Back to Work
    Dec 8 2025

Hi everyone! I'm back from a two month break so let's call this season 3 of the podcast now.

This episode is about going back to work after having my rainbow baby girl. I've navigated returning to work after my leave from Christopher's stillbirth and it was absolutely heart-wrenching. Going back to work when I should have had to plan out childcare and routines...it just reminded me of everything I had lost when I lost him. And so when I returned to work after having Veronica, it really changed my perspective on things. This is like the 5th trimester for us...figuring out what life looks like now that I'm back at work and balancing what motherhood looks like now.

I give tips about meal planning, setting boundaries, planning a back to work wardrobe, and all the layers that come with returning back to work. After recording, I always wish I went in detail about a few more things! Like I didn’t mention the emotional toll it took to wean from breastfeeding in order to prepare for back to work. Or when I talked about gender in pregnancy after loss, how that is such a layered topic. Always more we could go into so if you ever want to continue the conversation, please know you can message me on instagram.

I hope this resonates with you and I'd love to hear how you're preparing for back to work or what has helped you with navigating this new transition. And if you're not returning back to work and have chosen to stay home, please know that is a HUGE and important job in itself and the tips I share can resonate with you too.

  • Episode 48: Honouring Christina's Motherhood Journey: Welcoming Baby Girl Home After Back to Back Losses
    Sep 25 2025

Christina is a trooper! She came on the podcast at just 5 weeks postpartum with her beautiful earth side baby girl. We talk about the difficulties of postpartum life, the challenges of asking for help, the sleep deprivation, the love, all of it. We delve into her motherhood journey that started with back to back losses. Christina experienced a miscarriage at 8 weeks and we talk about how frightening and devastating that was. And then her beautiful boy was born still at 18 weeks. She named him Hope-Song because he represents hope for their family and he is the song in her heart. Christina is incredibly poetic and she hopes to one day release a memoir. I know this memoir will help so many moms feel validated in their motherhood journeys that include devastating loss. We then discuss her pregnancy with her earth side daughter and her birth where she experienced the most beautiful sign from her son in heaven: flickering lights throughout the labour.

Connect with Christina on Instagram here. She posts beautiful, heartfelt poems that capture her motherhood journey.

  • Episode 47: Forever Included: Honouring an Angel in Family Traditions
    Sep 17 2025

In this episode, I sit down with Brittany, a brave mama who shares her journey less than nine months after the stillbirth of her sweet son, Mason. This is part 2 of our conversation, so be sure to check out Brittany's first episode here.

Brittany opens up about the ways she keeps Mason present in her family’s life: like lighting a candle for him every evening for dinnertime and getting him little presents for holidays.

She also shares how she and her husband navigated telling their toddler son that his baby brother wouldn't be coming home from the hospital. He got to meet him and has a photo of him in his room. It's the kind of conversation parents never envision having with their children, but it's our reality. We talk openly about how we second guess what we say and we end up grieving twice: first for what happened, and then for our children who are growing up without their sibling.

This conversation is a reminder that love doesn’t end with loss, and that our angel babies will always be part of our families in beautiful and meaningful ways.

Be sure to reach out to Brittany and follow along with her journey here on Instagram.

  • Episode 46: Beyond the Birth Story with Alexa
    Sep 3 2025

What a special episode I have for you today. First off, when Alexa started off the episode talking about her sweet angel son, an orb appeared on the screen above her shoulder. It's something her little Kayde is known to do. I'm honoured he joined in on the conversation too. Alexa is a mama to two earth-side children and an Angel, she's a nurse, host to the Beyond the Birth Story podcast, and the Founder of the Kayde Foundation.

We talk about the beautiful signs from her son, like ladybugs in the most unlikely of places. Alexa and I discuss how these signs keep us going and help us feel connected to our little ones in heaven.

We dive into Alexa's uterine rupture that resulted in her son's full-term stillbirth and we tackle the myth that time heals all wounds. It is still painful almost three years later and that is normal because we're still living without our babies.

We also talk about pregnancy after loss, her time in the NICU with her rainbow, and how she navigates helping her six year old daughter form a relationship with her brother in heaven.

This is such a beautiful episode and I hope you reach out to Alexa here on instagram and listen to her podcast.

  • Episode 45: Formula, Pumping, and Breastfeeding Tips
    Aug 27 2025

Feeding a baby can feel like such a big, emotional part of motherhood, and honestly, it’s not always as simple as we expect. Adding in our history of loss, there are even more layers to feeding our babies. Whether it’s formula, pumping, breastfeeding, or some mix of everything, each path comes with its own set of challenges and tender moments.

In this episode, I’m sharing a mix of practical tips and some of my own stories from feeding my rainbow baby, along with the reminders I wish I had heard in those early days. Because the truth is, there’s no one “right” way to feed your baby. What matters most is finding what works for you, and leaning into the love and connection that happens in those quiet feeding moments.

If you’ve ever felt the pressure to get it “just right”, this episode is for you.

  • Episode 44: Brittany Shares Mason's Story
    Aug 14 2025

In this touching episode, I talk with Brittany, a mom to an almost 4-year-old and to her sweet son, Mason, who she lost at full term just eight months ago.

Brittany opens up about the shock of stillbirth: how we never think it will happen to us until it does, and the loneliness that follows. She shares how the community of angel moms has become a lifeline of support, reminding her she’s not walking this road alone.

She takes us through her birth story with Mason, describing the moment he arrived: how the room felt both silent and deafening at the same time, and the ways she continues to honour him every day.

Brittany has found purpose in her grief, starting two new businesses in Mason’s name: one creating beautiful bracelets to remember babies gone too soon, and the other as a grief coach supporting others through loss.

This is a raw, honest conversation about love, loss, and finding meaning in the aftermath. You can reach out and connect with Brittany here.
