  • Episode 49: Sunshine, Smiles and Anxiety
    Jul 4 2025

We have been talking about small and simple things that can help reduce anxiety. If you can implement as many of these small and simple tips as possible, I promise you will feel better.

I love the scripture from Alma 37:6 "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. "

Today’s episode is all about two simple things that can help with your overall well being: sunshine and smiling.

These are two free and easy things to implement into your life.

I wanted to talk about both sunshine and smiling because they can often be overlooked. I know in my life that if I can get outside and get sunshine on my face, no matter what the weather is, I feel better.

Health researcher, Dr. Tracy Davenport said “Even mild dehydration affects the brain’s ability to think clearly and regulate mood. It’s like running a car with low oil- it will go, but not very well.”

    May 23 2025

Today we are talking about meditation and how it can help reduce anxiety.

President David O. McKay (1873–1970) said: “We pay too little attention to the value of meditation, a principle of devotion. . . . Meditation is the language of the soul. It is defined as ‘a form of private devotion, or spiritual exercise, consisting in deep, continued reflection on some religious theme.’ Meditation is a form of prayer. . . .

“[It] is one of the most secret, most sacred doors through which we pass into the presence of the Lord.”
