• Why Recovery Feels So Overwhelming (And How to Cope)
    Oct 8 2026

Eating disorder recovery isn't always the immediate relief we expect it to be. Sometimes, when you start eating more regularly and loosening your food rules, you don't actually feel happier. At all.

If you're experiencing emotional overwhelm in your eating disorder recovery, anxiety after increasing your food intake, and intense emotions more generally, this video is for you.

Restriction dampens your whole emotional range. So when you embrace recovery, it can feel like those feelings come rushing back.

You need to re-learn to hold emotions and experiences that you haven't had the capacity to fully process for a long time.

In this video, I'm talking about why recovery can feel so overwhelming, why intense emotions can surface when you start nourishing yourself, and how to begin building the capacity to sit with them rather than turning back towards the eating disorder to cope.

For anyone navigating anorexia recovery, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, grief, irritability, food-related anxiety, or the emotional side of eating disorder recovery, I hope this reminds you that difficult feelings don't necessarily mean you're on the wrong path.

    Sep 26 2026

If you've been struggling with fear foods, eating “unhealthy” foods, food guilt, restriction, or anxiety about eating more processed foods during eating disorder recovery... this video is for you.

I'm talking about why eating more of the foods that your eating disorder considers “junk food" doesn't necessarily mean you're losing control or doing something wrong — and why eating those foods can actually be a positive step in recovery!

For anyone navigating anorexia recovery, restrictive eating, fear foods, food guilt, “junk food” anxiety, or the fear that you're eating too much, I hope this gives you somewhere to turn when the eating disorder starts telling you that you've gone too far.

  • Why You Feel Guilty After Eating (And How to Let Go)
    Sep 12 2026

Guilt after eating is one of the most common (and most exhausting!) parts of an eating disorder. This eating disorder recovery message explores why that guilt shows up.. and how to overcome the guilt!

You might know intellectually that food is allowed and necessary, while simultaneously feeling like you've done something wrong every time you finish a meal or attempt a fear food.

The ED might force you to replay every bite, question every decision, and seek reassurance that it's okay, convincing you that the guilt means you've broken some invisible rule...

If that resonates, this video is for you. I'm talking about where post-meal guilt actually comes from, why it feels so justified in the moment, and how to respond to it differently over time. Because guilt after eating isn't evidence that you did something wrong: it's a learned response, echoing rules you never chose but not feel stuck with.

For anyone navigating post-meal guilt, food anxiety, or the endless mental replay after eating, I hope this gives you somewhere to turn when those thoughts get loud. • How to Externalize the Eating Disorder Voice When It Gets Loud
    Aug 29 2026

The eating disorder voice often gets loudest at the exact moments you're trying hardest to recover. This eating disorder recovery message is about how to externalize the ED voice and stay recovery-aligned.

You might know intellectually that the eating disorder voice isn't you, while simultaneously feeling unable to tell where you end and it begins.

You might be negotiating with it all day, obeying its demands just for a moment of peace/relief, arguing back until you're exhausted, believing its thoughts are your own, or wondering who you'd even be without it...

If the ED voice has been getting louder recently, this video is for you. I'm talking about what externalizing actually means, how to separate yourself from the eating disorder voice, and how to respond differently when it starts shouting over your recovery.

This is your reminder that the voice is not your identity. You can hear it loudly and still choose recovery.

For anyone navigating a loud ED voice, constant food noise, recovery doubts, or the fear that the thoughts will never stop, I hope this gives you somewhere to turn when things get overwhelming. • Are You "SICK ENOUGH" to Recover?
    Aug 1 2026

“I’m not sick enough to recover.” This eating disorder recovery message offers support to help you navigate the difficult beliefs around not feeling valid, serious enough or sick enough to deserve treatment and recovery.

If you've ever had these thoughts, you are absolutely not alone. But you do not need to reach a certain weight, become more medically compromised, or make your eating disorder worse before you are allowed to recover.

If you're struggling and the eating disorder is impacting your quality of life, you deserve support. And if part of you is waiting until you're “sick enough” before taking recovery seriously, I hope this video helps you question that rule. Quasi recovery is not the same as reclaiming your life and your food freedom. You deserve so much more than that.

  • How to Overcome the Fear of WEIGHT GAIN
    Jul 18 2026

Fear of weight gain can be one of the most powerful parts of an eating disorder. This eating disorder recovery message offers support to help you navigate those difficult moments.

You might know intellectually that weight restoration and nutritional rehabilitation are important, while simultaneously feeling terrified of what will happen if your body changes.

You might be body checking, weighing yourself, comparing yourself to other people, trying to compensate for food, or desperately looking for reassurance that your weight hasn't changed...

If you’re experiencing weight gain anxiety and body image distress, this video is for you. I’m talking about what to do when the fear of gaining weight becomes so loud that it makes you want to turn back towards the eating disorder.

Because recovery doesn't require you to feel completely comfortable with weight gain first. Sometimes the next step is choosing recovery while you're still scared and while you don't feel ready or motivated.

Your eating disorder may tell you that gaining weight means losing control, losing your identity, or becoming someone you don't want to be. This is your reminder that you can be afraid of weight gain and still choose recovery. Despite those fears.

For anyone currently navigating weight restoration, body image struggles, eating disorder recovery, or fear of gaining weight, I hope this gives you somewhere to turn when those thoughts get loud. If you’re struggling with food restriction, calorie restriction, meal skipping, or compensatory behaviours in anorexia recovery, this is your reminder that the urge to restrict does NOT mean you need to act on it.
