  • And Then I Stopped - Episode 21
    Oct 5 2026

Sometimes something very small can change the way you see things.

In this episode, I tell the story of a woman in a shop who, without knowing anything about me, taught me something about kindness that stayed with me.

I also take a step back and talk about The Clockwork Junkie Podcast itself — how things have been going since the return, the numbers, what I’ve learned along the way, and where I want to take the podcast from here.

And then I finish with a memory from childhood: kiss chasing. It sounds like a silly childhood game, but looking back, there was something strangely familiar about what happened when you suddenly realised you didn't actually need to keep running.

That moment of seeing behind the curtain. Of realising that the thing you had been chasing, avoiding or worrying about might have been something you never needed to fear in the first place.

Maybe finding peace in yourself can feel a little like that.

A personal episode about kindness, the podcast, life, perspective — and a childhood game that ended up meaning far more than I ever expected.

  • Darkness Doesn’t Get The Final Word - Episode 20
    Sep 28 2026

What if the world really is as broken as it sometimes feels?

We see war. Suffering. Greed. Division. Poverty. Corruption. People struggling while others seem to have more than they could ever need. Every day brings another story that makes you wonder where humanity is heading. And sometimes you can’t help asking: Where is God in all of this?

Why does evil seem to win? Why do good people suffer?

And is there actually any reason to hope?

In Episode 20, I don't shy away from those questions. We talk about the darkness in the world, the unfairness of life, suffering, evil, wealth and poverty, faith, God, and the uncomfortable questions that many of us carry but rarely say out loud.

But this isn't an episode designed to leave you feeling hopeless. Quite the opposite. Because there is another side to the story. What if everything we're seeing isn't the end?

What if suffering doesn't have the final word? What if evil doesn't have the final word? What if death doesn't have the final word? And what if, underneath all the noise, there is a reason to have hope?

This is a conversation about why you can look honestly at the darkness without becoming consumed by it.

You don't have to pretend the world is okay. You don't have to ignore the difficult questions. And you don't have to have everything figured out.

Sometimes hope begins when we finally admit just how much we need it. So if life has been getting you down, if the constant negativity has started to wear you out, or if you've simply been wondering whether there is anything beyond all of this...Give this one a listen.

Because we might start in the darkness. But we're not staying there.

Darkness doesn’t get the final word.

  • What’s the Point? - Episode 19
    Sep 21 2026

Some conversations are different. Some questions deserve to be heard without expectations, assumptions, or preconceived ideas.

In this episode of The Clockwork Junkie Podcast, I’m taking things in a direction unlike anything I’ve recorded before.

Rather than tell you what to expect, I’ll leave you with one simple suggestion: Listen with fresh ears, an open mind, and see where the conversation takes you.

You might come away with more questions than answers.

    And maybe that’s the point.
