Sometimes something very small can change the way you see things.
In this episode, I tell the story of a woman in a shop who, without knowing anything about me, taught me something about kindness that stayed with me.
I also take a step back and talk about The Clockwork Junkie Podcast itself — how things have been going since the return, the numbers, what I’ve learned along the way, and where I want to take the podcast from here.
And then I finish with a memory from childhood: kiss chasing. It sounds like a silly childhood game, but looking back, there was something strangely familiar about what happened when you suddenly realised you didn't actually need to keep running.
That moment of seeing behind the curtain. Of realising that the thing you had been chasing, avoiding or worrying about might have been something you never needed to fear in the first place.
Maybe finding peace in yourself can feel a little like that.
A personal episode about kindness, the podcast, life, perspective — and a childhood game that ended up meaning far more than I ever expected.
