We talk a lot about aging well - nutrition, movement, sleep, stress.
But we rarely talk about what’s touching our body all day, in the most heat + moisture prone areas.
In this episode, I sit down with Michael Drescher to explore an overlooked longevity lever: your “first layer” - bras, underwear, leggings, shapewear and why material standards, dyes, finishes, and “greenwashing” matter more than most people realize.
If you’ve ever thought “I’m doing everything right… why do I still feel inflamed / off / reactive?” - this conversation will expand your lens.
Host - Dr. Kimberly Besuden, Successful Chiropractor, Functional Medicine Expert & a Healthy Aging Coach, has been helping Healthcare Professionals reach optimal health levels and thrive in their practice by incorporating nutrition, whole food supplementation, education, and an individualized plan of action approach to help healthcare professionals achieve their maximum potential.
Guest – Michael Drescher is an entrepreneur, social impact investor, TEDx speaker, writer, and philanthropist.
After some devastating life events, Michael transitioned from a history in media entrepreneurship to create a company that advocates for breast health and sells healthy, safe, and comfortable bras.
In 2010, he co-founded Vibrant Body Company, a product line focusing on women's breast health. The focus is to change the relationship a woman has with her First Layer. No longer something to rip off at the end of the day, but instead something that is outrageously comfortable, incredibly supportive and also not harmful to her health because of unnecessary restriction and potential exposure to harmful levels of toxins. We start with a women’s Body First™.
Michael wants the world to know the shocking truth about what it means to wear a bra. Michael Drescher is a media entrepreneur. His TedX Talk on 'Theories on Breast Cancer' racked up 872,000 views.
In 1981 he co-founded JDTV, a multimedia and production company that built up the world’s largest database of interactive television and movie descriptions in 11 languages with an international distribution. In 1997, he established Drescher Holdings and in 2003, along with DHL, became co-founder, partner and director of global publishing for One World Yellow Pages. In 2010, he co-founded two companies: Okanjo’s SAAS marketplace and ad-tech platforms that transform content into commerce for publishers, and Tuesday (formerly Bodyhum), a product line focusing on women’s breast health.
In 2015, the startup raised $1.7 million in follow-on funding. Drescher serves on the board of directors for Newaukee, Okanjo Partners, Vibrant LLC, MiKE and International Film Finance.
