    Trystan is Professor of Gender Studies in the Department of Sociology, Gerontology and Gender at California State University, Stanislaus and Managing Editor of Transgress Press. He travels extensively around the world speaking on trans identities and issues.. He has edited six books and written numerous articles on trans identities and embodiment. Cotten's most recent publications are: Hung Jury: Testimonies of Genital Surgery by Transsexual Men and Below the Belt: Genital Talk by Men of Trans Experience. He is currently filming a documentary of trans men's experiences with genital reconstructive surgery.

    Reid Vanderburgh started his social transition in 1995, and began taking hormones in 1997. He is a retired therapist who worked with nearly 500 trans clients during the course of his career, helping them answer the question, “how do I want to live my life?” In the realm of gender identity. Reid is the author of two books, two journal articles, and numerous book chapters. He is on the board of the Portland chapter of PFLAG, a support organization for families of those who come out. In his spare time, Reid sings baritone in the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus.

    Willy Wilkinson, MPH is an award-winning writer, public health consultant, and cultural competency trainer who has been advocating for marginalized populations since the early days of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. He is the author of the Lambda Literary Award-winning book Born on the Edge of Race and Gender: A Voice for Cultural Competency, which illuminates trans experience from a Chinese American and mixed heritage perspective, and transforms the memoir genre into a cultural competency tool. Over the past three decades, Willy has provided LGBTQ and trans-specific training for hundreds of community health organizations, educational institutions, and businesses. As a trainer, his work is well received for its intersectional curriculum content, his accessible training style, and the practical applications of the knowledge gained. Willy is the recipient of a National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association Award, and the Transgender Law Center Vanguard Award.     Jackal is one of the hosts of the Stealth: A Transmasculine Podcast. He grew up in the Los Angeles area and began transitioning around 1998 in the supportive Seattle community. Jackal is a passionate anti-racist and anti-oppression advocate. He identifies as a transman, FTM, nonbinary and genderqueer and also as white, working class and queer. He loves karaoke and currently lives with his dog and two cats. Jackal shares a memory of a gender nonconforming childhood classmate and his punk anarchist roots. He believes that “stealth” happened to him rather than him choosing to be stealth and delves into the many layers of his gender identity and his current successes and struggles. Jackal honors his elders, those transmen whose kindness and mentorship were critical to his transition.
