Vision 10-The Journey and Assessment of the Visionary Mind

Summary: This episode is a profound and symbolic account of three decades of spiritual endeavor undertaken by a being who regards himself as an intermediary between the realm of concrete Form and the realm of formless Content. In this special gathering, we are presented with a retrospective of his becoming: from his encounter in the Realm of the Teachers, through the clarification of his mission, to his manifestation within the realm of Form. It is the parable of a human being who, through inspiration descending from the formless mind, escaped ambiguity, and, having traversed the domains of analysis and imagination, attained the exalted station of the "Visionary Mind." Through the symbol of the tree, the episode further unfolds the role of this patient teacher, who for decades endeavored to guide the young through purification and instruction. Yet he voices a deep disillusionment at humanity's indifference to the higher meanings of existence — at their submersion in material attractions and the realm of Form, and their pursuit of the mirage of "acquisition" and mere "havingness" (possession devoid of essence). In the end, with a heart wounded by the betrayal and ingratitude of companions who chose the path of becoming ordinary adults, he announces the conclusion of his tenure as a teacher and returns to the world of dreams and the eternal assembly of the Teachers. This narrative stands as an elegy to the teacher's boundless love, and to his estrangement among human beings who no longer sense, within themselves, any need for a guide.

vision 09- Language, How does language and speech manifest in the human being?

Summary: In this episode, the teacher offers a profound insight into the concept of language, presenting it not merely as a set of sounds, but as the "primary carrier and transmitter of meaning" — rooted in the bond between the mind and inspiration. He describes the human mind as the "inventor of mental forms," tasked with presenting these images to the "formless aspect" of existence, where — if the mind is prepared — the spark of inspiration leads to the discovery of meaning (enkeshaf, or unveiling). The intriguing concept of the "Dialectic in the Hall of Mirrors" is introduced as a method for voluntary thinking: through successive reflections of mental images, a "zone of awareness" is formed, giving rise to cognition as the "emergence of linguistic signs." By distinguishing between intra-mental and inter-mental dialogue, the teacher argues that the mind is perpetually incomplete and under construction — and that only through dialectic with the other do "enveloped" concepts (meanings wrapped within ideas) gain determination and objectivity. Finally, while explaining the transition from object-oriented, denotative language to symbolic and representational language, he warns that speech devoid of a permanent link to its source of inspiration becomes "soulless" — and that its symbols (including the teacher himself, as a symbol) will perish once that connection is severed. Furthermore, to illustrate these concepts with a concrete example, he recommends watching The Miracle Worker (1962).

vision 08- Perception in Humans and Its Phases, How do humans attain the stage of perception?

Summary: In this episode, the instructor elucidates the concept of "Perception in Humans and Its Phases," delineating how cognition is constructed from initial encounters with external phenomena to internal analytical processing. Key insights highlighted include the conceptualization of "Impression (and Sensation)" as the primary physical and physiological stage—occurring via the brain and nervous system—that registers the impact of external objects on the mind. This is followed by the formation of "Ideas or Concepts," which serve as non-material duplicates of that initial reception. Additionally, the process of "Association and Recall of Ideas" in the absence of external stimuli is explained as the foundation for the mind's agency in intellection, ratiocination, and imagination. Furthermore, by dividing the mental process into two distinct phases—the "Ascending Arc" (the transition from intuition and immediate, presential knowledge to abstract concepts and acquired knowledge) and the "Descending Arc" (the reduction and encapsulation of thoughts within the framework of speech and language)—the instructor underscores the significance of extracting inter-ideational relations such as causality, contiguity, symmetry, and necessity. Concluding with a four-fold cyclical model, the lecture addresses social interactions and the formation of a collective, intersubjective repository of thoughts. To achieve a harmonious social life and mitigate conflicts arising from the imposition of personal concepts onto others, it is recommended to operate based on a minimal threshold of registered consensus in practice. Finally, in alignment with the instructional material delivered in this and the preceding session, it is suggested to watch and analyze the feature films What Dreams May Come and Waking Life to identify and evaluate the corresponding practical manifestations of these concepts.

vision 07- In-Itself & For-Itself, What mode of Being do we possess?

Summary: In this episode, we delve into the fundamental concepts of 'Being' and explore the distinct dimensions of existence. The core of the discussion focuses on contrasting Being-in-itself (the fixed, unconscious existence of inanimate objects like mountains and rocks, which lack perception and the experience of ecstasy) with Being-for-itself (the uniquely human mode of existence). Through the experience of consciousness and transcendence, human beings construct a distinctive subjective space to interpret and identify the world. Furthermore, we examine the vital role of Language as the tool that liberates individuals from being objectified by others, enabling both the transmission of meaning and a profound connection between 'Beings-for-themselves'. Finally, utilizing cinematic examples, this episode illustrates the varying levels of perception and worldviews among individuals. Finally, we cordially invite you to watch the feature film Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

vision 06- The Color of Paradise (God), Narration and Parable of the Hands.

Summary: In this episode, the instructor analyzes the film The Color of Paradise (God), striving to move beyond the surface-level narrative to reach an interpretive reading. By introducing the concepts of the 'concrete or formed space' and 'abstract or formless space' of the mind, the speaker examines the three main characters: the blind child, despite his visual impairment, maintains a vibrant and creative connection with the world through his presence, kindness, and receptivity to inspiration, yet he suffers from the 'wound' of being rejected by his father. The grandmother symbolizes acceptance and an affirmative, life-giving outlook; with minimal distance from the 'formless space,' she plays the role of a supporter and a provider of meaning. In contrast, the father, with a negating, fear-driven, and transactional mindset, attempts to eliminate the problem rather than understand it, ultimately harming not only his child but also himself and those around him. The episode concludes with a critical invitation to rethink our own mental structures: whether we choose to have a receptive, inspired, and life-giving mind (represented by the child and grandmother) or a closed, transactional, and psychologically eroding mindset (represented by the father) that unintentionally creates suffering for ourselves and others.

vision 05 - Where is the friend's house, Love, Simplicity, Loyalty.

Summary: In this episode, the teacher utilizes the simplicity of the protagonist's behavior in the film Where is the Friend's House? to explain the contrast between the "formless mind" (the source of inspiration, revelation, and innate compassion) and the "form mind" (the realm of habits and illusory complexities),,. He explains that inspirations and exalted concepts descend like rain from the sky of the formless mind onto the ground of our mind; however, the expansion of the form mind in adulthood creates a "gap" that freezes and imprisons these inspirations within the darkness of the form mind. Finally, the teacher emphasizes that to break free from this impasse and return to "simplicity" and a quality life, a person needs the light of intellect and the presence of a guide (symbolized as the sun) to liberate these imprisoned concepts and act once more based on truth and a direct connection to inner inspirations, just like the child in the story.

vision 04 - Howl’s Moving Castle, Journey, Space-Time Window, Chronotope, Love and the Price Paid.

Summary: In this episode, the teacher focuses on the anime "Howl's Moving Castle" to examine the profound concept of "travel" as a conceptual and metaphorical displacement within the fabric of time and space (chronotope), which goes far beyond a simple physical relocation,,,. The program emphasizes that every human analyzes events based on their own "window of time and space," and true travel must lead to a change in attitude, mental growth, and intellectual elevation; otherwise, one returns from the journey empty-handed. By linking this anime to literary masterpieces like Nezami's "Seven Beauties" (Haft Peykar) and Attar's "The Conference of the Birds" (Mantiq al-Tayr), the speaker cites the character "Sophie" as an example who embarks on a journey driven by love and affection,,. Despite the cost of growing old, she ultimately breaks curses and reaches the "cave of knowledge" while recreating those around her through her internal transformations and persistent kindness. Essentially, elements like the castle are analyzed as a symbol of the human mind, and the character "Calcifer" as the driving fire of this mental castle, to illustrate the necessity of moving toward deeper existential layers and changing one's behavior and conduct.

Vision 03 - A Monster Calls, The lecturer is speaking in Persian and discussing, The Bases, Paradigm and Discourse.

Summary: In this episode, the instructor draws on the film A Monster Calls to present the material in the form of a philosophical discourse and reflection, focusing on themes such as “motifs, the mental realm, and discourse.” Throughout the series, the speaker employs the metaphor of the “monster” to examine the nature of thinking, perception, and the structure of the human mind, and to analyze the relationship between mental experiences, reality, and the formation of meaning. This video is part of Season Three of the Vision series, in which each episode explores a specific theme or metaphor from a philosophical and cognitive perspective. This particular episode focuses on how abstract concepts are recognized and observed within the mind, as well as on the formation of mental speech and discourse, addressing concepts such as subjective experience, semantic analysis, and different domains of thought. It should ultimately be clarified that the term “monster” is intended to signify a guide or a teacher.
