She goes thoroughly on how she went back and forth between physicians until she finally got surgery that fixed all of her conditions. She also shares a near-death experience and, finally, the cherry on top: a surprise pregnancy that resulted in her healthy baby boy. Kathryn has gone through hell and high water, and her experience in healthcare has taken her down a route of involvement in patient and rare disease advocacy. Kathryn’s story is a beautiful resolution to a hellish inconvenience.
