• #74: Why We're Leaving Florida for Sweden - It's Not What You Think
    Jan 6 2026

Today I’m sharing the real reason my family and I decided to leave Florida for Sweden, and it's probably not exactly what you think.

This isn’t about chasing a “perfect Scandinavian country” or running away from life in the U.S. Instead, Erik and I had a serious heart-to-heart after returning from our last visit the past summer and realized motherhood, extended family support, and peer-oriented community were going to be more easeful in Sweden.

Right now with two young toddlers in tow, living amongst a busy = good culture, we realized we need to prioritize our existing network of peers, give the children the opportunity to grow up with family their age, and align with others who prioritize slowing down. This decision comes with tradeoffs and concerns which I discuss very openly. I'm both very excited and a little nervous.

  • #73: Season 3 Wrap & The End of An Era
    Dec 19 2025

In this special end-of-year episode, Kat and April sit down for a heartfelt and honest conversation reflecting on the journey of Moms Off the Record: how it began, how it evolved, and what it has meant to both of them and the community it grew.

This episode also marks a meaningful transition. After years of co-creating MOTR together, April shares her decision to step away as a co-host, with Kat moving forward as the sole host and steward of the podcast. The conversation is rooted in gratitude, clarity, and mutual respect with an honoring of seasons, growth, and the courage it takes to listen when an assignment shifts.

Together, Kat and April reflect on favorite moments, impactful conversations, and the many messages from women who have shared how MOTR helped them feel less alone, more confident in their intuition, and more empowered to question the narratives surrounding modern motherhood.

This episode is two parts a look back and a blessing moving forward with the reminder that growth often asks us to release what we love in order to make room for what’s next.

Thank you for being part of this chapter.

WE LOVE YOU! Cheers to Season 4 led by none other than Kat!

  • #72: Modern Feminism - When Liberation Became Isolation
    Nov 7 2025

What started as a movement for dignity has become an ideology of disconnection.

In this episode, we trace the evolution of feminism, from its early roots in moral equality to its modern rebranding as sameness, independence, and career-first identity. We explore how the cultural promise of “having it all” has often left women feeling fragmented, overextended, and unfulfilled.

From the economic engineering that made two incomes a necessity, to the corporate and political forces that turned liberation into labor, we unpack how the feminist movement has been co-opted, and how that shift continues to affect families, children, and the very soul of womanhood.

This isn’t about going backward; it’s about remembering what was sacred. We discuss how honoring biological design, polarity, and the divine dance between masculine and feminine could be the key to restoring balance, in our homes, our relationships, and within ourselves.

True liberation isn’t doing everything alone. It’s remembering that we were designed to thrive together.

  • #71: Motherhood, Politics, and the Power to Change Your Mind with Lucy Biggers of The Free Press
    Oct 24 2025

We’re joined by journalist and former climate activist Lucy Biggers of The Free Press (and formerly NowThis) to talk about the surprising intersection of motherhood and politics, and what happens when we’re brave enough to reexamine our deeply held beliefs.

Now a mom of two toddlers, Lucy shares how motherhood reshaped her worldview, inviting her to question ideological narratives she once championed. Together, we explore what it means to humbly change your mind in a polarized world and why motherhood often becomes the great equalizer, forcing us to think not in slogans, but in legacy.

From fossil fuels and climate activism to the dangers of Marxism and socialism, we navigate some of today’s most polarizing conversations with honesty and curiosity. Because when a topic becomes untouchable, we lose our ability to engage, discern, and build a better future for our children.

This one’s for the mothers (and fathers) willing to hold nuance, question dogma, and plant seeds of truth for the next generation.

  • #70: Money in Motherhood and Marriage: The New Financial Paradigm
    Oct 10 2025

In this episode, the two of us reflect on our former six-figure careers in the tech space and how our respective financial trajectories once we became mothers radically changed our lifestyles, world view, and sense of true fulfillment.

This episode is part philosophy and part practicality, however please be advised neither of us is a financial consultant, so none of this is to be taken as financial advice. It’s simply anecdotal.

We answer some money questions you all submitted in our Instagram stories question box.

Money is such a taboo topic. Especially if you are choosing to step back from a high-earning career in favor of living on less and being more present with your children while they’re young. We divulge specific numbers to present an honest assessment of how you can make a single income work.

We're here to agree, hanging your career hat for a few years is totally worth it!

  • #68: How Our Top Three Core Values Shape Our Parenting Decisions
    Sep 5 2025

Feeling inspired after reading Jamie Glowacki’s book “Oh Crap! I Have a Toddler”, the two of us muse on our current top three core values, where these values likely stemmed from, and how, specifically, they shape our parenting decisions.

As Jamie so eloquently puts it, nothing a toddler says or does should theoretically trigger an adult to have an unreasonable, extreme reaction. So, if we are having such a reaction, it’s likely due to an unresolved trigger or childhood wound. The values we place highest on a pedestal stem from what we view as being the most important aspects of functioning in the world, which will look different from person to person depending on how you were raised, your life experiences, relationships, and your temperament.

Just like a Venn diagram, the two of us share some overlap with our core values and then branch off into varied territory. Illustrating how our values play out in real time with our children is where the magic lies. In this episode, we don't aim to tell you which values to hold dearly but how to consider them!

& we want to hear from you! What are your top parenting values and why?

  • #67: The Motherbaby Triad: Mothering Twins Physiologically with Alaina Evangelisto
    Aug 22 2025

Alaina faced obstacle after obstacle during her first pregnancy, which happened to be a di-di, identical twin girl pregnancy, and her initiation into motherhood resulted in the first twin being born vaginally and the second via cesarean.

Recovering from a c-section plus physical separation for days from her babies due to a NICU stay didn’t deter Alaina from physiologic mothering and tuning into her high nurture intuition.

Alaina walks us through about her mindset, values, and support system which motivated her to break free from the mainstream narrative- especially the one perpetuated in social media- that moms of multiples must pump and rely on formula from day 1, contain their babies in containers, and separate them into their own sleeping spaces despite having spent every day together in the womb.
