• #57: From Restraining Order to Secure Love, healing attachment wounds - Bryan Power Chimes In
    Jan 8 2026

In this episode, I sit down with Bryan Power to talk about what happens when relationship patterns finally catch up with you and what it really takes to change them.

Before Bryan began studying attachment styles and emotional healing, his marriage had reached a breaking point, including a restraining order from his wife (nothing violent) a moment that forced him to confront the deeper wounds driving his behaviour. What followed was a powerful journey of self-discovery, where he began unpacking the subconscious trauma passed down through generations, growing up with parents who were doing the best they could while carrying their own unresolved pain.

We explore how attachment styles are shaped in childhood, how trauma gets inherited, and why these patterns are not a life sentence they are something we can work with and move through.

Bryan also shares a huge shift that changed his relationships: learning the difference between listening defensively versus listening to understand. We talk about how many conflicts aren’t about the words being said, but about two nervous systems trying to protect themselves.

Now, Bryan helps others identify their emotional blocks and teaches what secure love actually looks like in practice not perfection, but awareness, responsibility, and choice.

This is an honest, hopeful conversation about breaking cycles, healing old wounds, and learning how to love in healthier ways even when your past didn’t teach you how.

We dive into the subconscious wounds that shape our emotional wiring and learn why the things we react to in conflict often aren’t about the fight they’re about our unmet needs from long ago. We talk about how to listen during arguments with curiosity instead of defence, how to lead by example in relationships, and most importantly, why your attachment style isn’t a death sentence it’s a starting point for growth.

Whether you’re in a long-term partnership, somewhere in between, or healing alone, this conversation offers practical insight, personal stories, and hope for becoming more secure, more conscious, and more connected both to others and to yourself.

  • #56 Healing Old Wounds Without Losing Your Edge, Mother wounds and Lessons from Yoga - Paul Cameron part 2
    Dec 19 2025

In Part Two of my conversation with trauma coach Paul Cameron, we go deeper into the work of becoming a well-rounded man. We explore mother wounds, how they shape our relationships, and what it really means to balance masculine and feminine energy without losing yourself.

Paul also shares a surprising insight from his time practising yoga — how slowing down challenged his nervous system, softened old patterns, and taught him a different kind of strength. We talk about presence, patience, and the quiet work of learning to feel rather than push.

This episode is an invitation to rethink masculinity, heal old relational wounds, and discover that growth doesn’t always come from doing more — sometimes it comes from slowing down.

  • #55 Why We Keep Going Back to Pain - Paul Cameron Chimes in on Self sabotage Inner teen rebel
    Dec 11 2025

In this episode, I sit down with trauma coach Paul Cameron for a deep, honest, and surprisingly relatable conversation about the patterns that keep us stuck. Paul breaks down the idea of the “emotional home” — the familiar state we fall back into when life gets hard, even if that place is painful or self-sabotaging.

He opens up about a moment in his own life when the financial pressure became so intense he contemplated “ditching the van” — literally driving it into a ditch just to escape the weight he was carrying. His honesty around that moment sets the tone for the rest of the conversation: raw, human, and unfiltered.

We also explore the inner teen rebel, the disconnection from the inner child, the exhaustion of people-pleasing, and how these old roles show up in adulthood when we’re trying to move forward.

This episode is packed with insight, compassion, humour, and real talk — a reminder that breaking patterns isn’t about being perfect; it’s about understanding the story you keep returning to and choosing something better.

  • #54 The Courage to Make Difficult Decisions
    Dec 4 2025

In this episode, I talk about what courage actually looks like crying on camera, laughing through tears, making decisions that scare the life out of you, and choosing the path that makes zero sense to anyone but you.

I share my own journey of walking away from a legal career with no plan, following my curiosity, listening to my heart, and surviving the messy middle where everyone else would’ve folded. I open up about leaving someone I loved in search of a “better version” of me, travelling the world, and realising the person I was chasing had been here the whole time.

This episode is for anyone staring at a hard decision, doubting themselves, or wondering if they’re crazy for wanting something different. You’re not. You just need courage and courage always starts with vulnerability.

  • #53 How Porn Addiction Affected His Love for Salsa & Connecting With the Heart — Vincent (Part 2)
    Nov 27 2025

In Part Two of my conversation with Vincent Hazenboom, we dive into the often-unspoken reality of porn addictionand the impact it quietly has on men’s emotional lives, relationships, and sense of self. Vincent opens up about how pornography shaped his ability to form meaningful connections with women and even affected something he deeply loved and wanted to try — salsa dancing.

We explore what most men misunderstand about porn, why avoiding it altogether can be a powerful act of self-respect, and how choosing real intimacy over digital stimulation can transform the way men connect, love, and show up in the world.

This episode is honest, grounded, and a necessary conversation about reclaiming desire, presence, and authenticity.

    Nov 20 2025

In this conversation, I sit down with Vincent Hazenboom, a Dutch emotional empowerment coach who is the host of the "How to heart" podcast, a podcast for the emotionally empowered man.

He identifies as a highly sensitive person (HSP). Together, we explore the deep work of understanding ourselves — from healing the mother wound and learning to set boundaries, to making the hard decisions that honour who we are.

We talk about what it means to be sensitive in a world that often celebrates toughness, how to find the tools that help us navigate life with more awareness, and why there’s no shame in crying.

This episode is an invitation to see sensitivity as strength, and to remember that empowerment starts with emotional honesty.

  • #51 Vish Chimes in part 2: Building Support Where It’s Needed Most, Neurodiversity and hoovers
    Nov 13 2025

In Part Two of our conversation, Vish chimes in on life beyond the tools opening up about his past experience living with OCD and ADHD, and how those experiences have shaped not only his work but his understanding of himself.

We explore how his partner’s support became a grounding force through chaos, during that journey.

What it really means to build change in construction not just in policies, but in people.

This episode dives deeper into identity, acceptance, and the small daily choices that turn survival into purpose. It’s a reminder that strength doesn’t come from doing it all alone and Onward shift is on a mission to build a space where a plethora of services can be offered to tradesmen.

    Nov 6 2025

In this episode, I sit down with Vishal, founder of OnwardShift — a mental health platform created for people in the construction industry. With over 15 years on the tools, Vish has seen firsthand the pressure, the silence, and the heavy expectations that shape so many lives on site.

He’s on a mission to break the stigma around mental health in construction and to advocate for fair treatment and genuine support not just for men, but for anyone who’s ever felt they had to “just get on with it.”

Vish shares the story of how he reached a breaking point a moment where ending his life felt like the only option and the courage it took to choose something different.
