Ongoing Conflicts with the Executive Board of Governors

While this decision was not made lightly, it has become necessary to address these challenges and ensure the team’s future by working through league issues and actively continuing the process of finding a suitable buyer for the team.

The Islanders want to reassure players, parents, fans, volunteers, and sponsors that this is only a temporary pause. The organization remains committed to facilitating a smooth transition to new ownership, ensuring the team’s continued presence and contribution to the Kenora community.
