On the day of this recording, it is the middle of Fashion Revolution Week and the 10 year anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse. The fall of this multi-level workplace manufacturing items for today's most popular fast fashion brands was completely avoidable. Thousands of people died or were injured because the fast fashion industry turns a blind eye to the mistreatment of who makes its clothes.

This ethical fashion conversation is designed to educate. Not to shame. Shopping ethical fashion brands, fair trade brands, borrowing/thrifting/renting, and simply consuming less:

  1. Creates more safe, dignified, fairly paid job options for women
  2. Helps mothers provide for their children and lowers their vulnerability to trafficking
  3. Lowers the demand for life-threating sweatshops and workplaces like the Rana Plaza
