In our sixth and final episode of this season, Frances Hand is joined by Mr David Nix, the founder and lifetime president of the Donor Family Network, a charity which works to support donor families. We discuss some of the ways the Donor Family Network supports donor families, the legacy that donation can be for our loves ones and the value of creating a community of people who 'get it'.

In Episode 5, Frances discussions consent and relational autonomy with Professor Jonathan Herring. They examine protections under the current law, as well as the difficulties that the law has with real-world decision-making, which is often made with others in mind. They discuss the benefits of organ donation and transplantation where the patient's loved ones play a key role. 

For our fourth episode, Frances Hand discusses the value of a strong doctor-patient relationship with Professor Berg and Dr Engelmann. We discuss some of challenges to facilitating informed consent during stressful decision making. 

In Episode 3, Frances interviews Dr Dale Gardiner, the National Clinical Lead for NHS Blood and Transplant. We discuss his work with NHS Blood and Transplant as well as some of the barriers he faces in facilitating organ donation.
