  • Episode 7: Playgrounds (Trevor Zahara)
    Oct 9 2026

Roberta and Glenn sit down with Trevor Zahara of Peak Play Consulting to talk about the infrastructure of playgrounds. Familiar with sight, smell, taste, sound and touch? How about the senses familiar to those who design and build playgrounds, namely vestibular perception, proprioception and interoception.Travel with Trevor from Belgrade, Serbia to Valemount, B.C,. as he surveys the state of playgrounds and the forces that give them shape. Trevor's brother, Roberta's dad and Evel Knievel also make appearances.🎧 Infrasound uncovers the human side of infrastructure — the decisions, experiences, and people shaping the built world around us.🎵 Music: “Step Forward” by Mike Kirin — featured with permission.🌐 Find reVerb online: reverbcomms.ca

  • Episode 6: Cladding (Luke Toller)
    Aug 4 2026

Roberta and Glenn sit down with Luke Toller of IMARK Architectural Metals to talk cladding. The conversation starts and ends at the stunningly innovative and dramatic River Cree Medical Centre on the Enoch Cree Nation in west Edmonton. The building is cladded in a panelled representation of a historic photo from the area. Where the idea came from, where the panels came from, the painstaking work to mount them, the machines used in the process — all of this and more is revealed in the conversation. The River Cree Medical Centre will be an outpatient health campus, including, among other medical and wellness services, an orthopedic surgery centre and medical specialist clinics. Listen to Luke explain IMARK's contributions to the exterior of the building and you'll make out a connection between the health care work inside and the cladding work outside. Both are concerned with creating and maintaining a stable and balanced temperature and equilibrium, whether for patients or the building itself. Luke also gives the viewer a visual tour of some of the IMARK landmarks in the city. 🎧 Infrasound uncovers the human side of infrastructure — the decisions, experiences, and people shaping the built world around us.🎵 Music: “Step Forward” by Mike Kirin — featured with permission.🌐 Find reVerb online: reverbcomms.ca

  • Episode 5: Light (Daveed Henriquez)
    Jun 29 2026

    Light is vida!

That's the mantra of lighting designer Daveed Henriquez, who joins Roberta and Glenn on this episode of InfraSound. In an insightful and inspiring interview, Daveed traces the arc of his personal and professional relationship with lighting, starting with the electrocution event in Mexico City that sparked his curiosity about the infrastructure of light. As an electrician, consultant and lighting designer, Daveed has had a hand in numerous commercial, residential and public lighting landmark projects. He has a unique take on the power of light not only to illuminate our surroundings but to bring us closer to where we live and work. Daveed takes us from downtown Edmonton to Disneyland to the skies above Mexico City, giving InfraSounders a master class in where light has been and where it's going.
