 In and Out of Empire explores the history of the building that houses the Sirius Arts Centre in Cobh: the former RCYC clubhouse, constructed with the aid of the Smith-Barry family on the site of the visit of Queen Victoria, has been at the centre of a town divided by class and allegiance, one that has a fascinating past both in and out of the British Empire. Commissioned by SIRIUS, In and Out of Empire is produced and presented by Ellie O'Byrne under the direction of Miguel Amado, the director of SIRIUS. Research and production were supported by Cork County Council's Commemorations Grant Scheme 2021and the Heritage Council's Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2022.2022 Kunst Welt
