After playing Jackson State on the Football field many FAMU fans again came away from a game saying that they were close enough to win but the difference was turnovers.

FAMU’s defense was solid and played a good game but yet again the teams best efforts to get a win were thwarted.

The Turnovers have been an issue for much of the season but the game against Jackson State saw a season high for turnovers, well before we have our Monday review show with the Avengers.

Let us talk about the weekend that was for FAMU and what we hope this homecoming week will be.

We are in the midst of football season, but FAMU basketball is about to make some major news in the Tampa Bay area.

We have some guest today from the Showdown in St. Pete that are here to talk about the entire weekend of events.

Showdown in St. Pete isn't simply another stop on the basketball calendar. It's a destination event designed to bring outstanding college programs together in an environment that celebrates competition, sportsmanship, and the experience of the game itself.

Hosted by Worldwide Hoops, the tournament combines professionally organized competition with the relaxed atmosphere of Florida's Gulf Coast, giving athletes, coaches, and families an opportunity to enjoy both elite basketball and one of the country's premier waterfront cities. Create memories. Challenge programs. Compete at the highest level.

FAMU football played against Alabama State in a place that has been very good to FAMU over the years.

After last year's shellacking of the Rattlers at Bragg Stadium, the Rattlers got some get back this year by ruining Alabama State University's Homecoming.

Along with success on the football field the other FAMU teams understood the assignment.

FAMU Volleyball dominated UAPB and Grambling at home which is huge as FAMU Volleyball is sitting at the top of the SWAC standings.

All this while FAMU Cross Country finished in the top ten at the Florida State Cross Country Invitational on Friday and FAMU Bowling has gotten it cracking.

Talk Nice to these Rattlers.
