DOUBT is an examination of truth, consequences, and the need for certainty. When Sister Aloysius questions Father Flynn, a beloved and progressive young priest, about his conduct with a student, she is forced to confront the foundation of her own moral certainty. As the actions and motivations of each are scrutinized and suspicion mounts, the two are drawn into a battle of wills that threatens irrevocable consequences for all involved.
