Über diesen Titel
In this episode, co-host Sandra opens up about a powerful revelation she received for her teenage daughter—a word that exposed how something her daughter deeply loved had become an idol. Sandra poses a thought-provoking question: What has become an idol in our children's lives, and perhaps even in our own?
Using the story of David and Goliath from 1 Samuel 17, Sandra explores how we often let our idols loom over us like giants, but we have the power to "flip the script" and put God first over everything. She also delves into the importance of outfitting ourselves with the armor of God, as outlined in Ephesians 6, rather than relying on outdated or worldly armor passed down from our ancestors.
In the second half of the episode, co-host Karen shares a timely word from the Lord about the power of obedience, the importance of counting the cost, and how we should celebrate and support our brothers and sisters in Christ. Together, Sandra and Karen reflect on how we can actively confront idolatry in our lives and lead our children toward a life centered on God’s truth and love.
Tune in for a thought-provoking and empowering discussion on flipping the script in our families and spiritual journeys!
Co-host Amy Bearden and Karen Brown-Frisby
