What if your horse was protected by angels?

In this extraordinary episode of Enlightened Connections, Lisa speaks with Texas horsewoman and author Tammy Holsey about the incredible true story behind her book Checote's Angels.

After a helicopter startled a herd of horses, Checote suffered a catastrophic injury that veterinarians struggled to explain. Despite losing critical extensor tendons and facing a long, painful recovery, he survived against the odds and went on to compete successfully for years.

The story became even more remarkable when an animal communicator accurately described how the accident occurred, revealing details Tammy had never shared. Later, multiple people independently reported seeing two angels constantly accompanying Checote.

Tammy also recounts a dramatic rescue mission in which two riderless horses led her to believe a friend was in danger. Trusting Checote completely, she followed him through a hazardous gravel quarry where she witnessed what appeared to be angelic guidance leading them directly to the injured rider.
