Topic: THE GLORY OF HIS RETURN (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming" - Matthew 24:42 NKJV‬‬

    Bible Text: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Revelation 22:12 NKJV‬‬

‭‭12. And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

INSPIRATION: When Jesus says, "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming" (Matt. 24: 42), you need to take it more seriously. It is the inability to anticipate divine visits that robs us of the glory that comes with such moments. Once we become insensitive, we get carried away with the pursuit of other activities that could choke the life of our spiritual consciousness. In such moments when we let down our guards, we miss His coming.

Christ is coming soon. It doesn't matter what your personal biases are about this statement; it doesn't matter how long you've heard these statements, believed it for long but yet to see its reality. It would happen when you least expected it to, and it might be too late then if you fail to take heed now. Blessed is he who's not offended in Christ for these sayings. To this end, your concerns should be: what rewards am I due for at His return based on what I've done? Think critically on this!

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

How prepared are you for His visitation or return? What are the proofs of your preparation?

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to set my heart in order for Your visitation, and more importantly, Your return. I refuse to allow the cares of this life deprive me the glories of Your visitation and rewards of Your return. My lamp is always trimmed and oiled as I wait earnestly, in Jesus name.

Topic: THE GLORY OF HIS RETURN!

INSPIRATION: Two things common to the visition and/or return of our Lord, Jesus Christ, are: it would never be announced and some of those He's coming for will never be prepared. It's obvious today's church is the least prepared for Christ's visitation hence they stroll into very anointed services so casually, lacking in faith and unexpectant. As such, miracles happen all around them but none for them.

In the same way, many are still not ready for the return of Christ. Hence, little or no preparation is in place. But whether you take this seriously or not, He's coming back with glory. It'd take you by surprise like a thief's visit takes their victims by surprise. Being caught unprepared is bad enough in itself, your reward would also be a subject of another shock to you. You'd be rewarded based on your actions in the past, chief of which is, your belief or unbelief in Christ.

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

How prepared are you for His visitation or return? What are the proofs of your preparation?

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to set my heart in order for Your visitation, and more importantly, Your return. Topic: GRACE IN ACTION (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" - Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    Bible Text: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    11. ‭ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

INSPIRATION: Grace has been severally defined as unmerited favour, where you didn't need to do anything special to earn it. It wasn't by your qualifications either. The Psalmist says, "‭‭For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them" (Psa. 44:3‬). This should sober you to think you got nothing by fighting for it nor did your efforts save you against evil.

So what then is the work of grace? It is to give you access to divinity so you can become all you were designed and destined for. Grace in action doesn't necessarily mean you having possession of all your needs, but in making available all that you should need to access all He's made available for you (Eph. 1: 3); it is the empowering knowledge that you're not disadvantaged in Christ. When grace is in action, favour kicks in; when grace is in action, ease occurs; when grace is active, struggling ends, etc.

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Grace can be activated, the same way it can be frustrated (Gal. 2: 21). Be careful and conscious which one is operational on your life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please teach me the wisdom to entreat your grace; help me to always do things that trigger your grace to actively work for me, grant me unending access to all that grace brings, in Jesus name.

INSPIRATION: Matthew 6: 32 paints a picture of needs and the desire to have them met. As customary as this is, we must get the point that we get things by grace not by struggles. Every need you want met comes easily to you when grace is activated. Titus tells us, "The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men" (Tit. 2: 11). So we see first of all that it is grace that brings whatever it is we need. Secondly, it talks of salvation.

Situating grace and bringing salvation in context, we must realise it's not only being saved from sin that grace brings, it brings healing, peace, blessings, wholeness, joy, sanctification, favours, forgiveness, love, etc. In other words, you want to experience favour, find grace. Grace is the vehicle for obtaining mercy (Heb. 4: 16). Grace is not some abstract concept you cannot relate to because there're overwhelming evidences all around you of what grace does and brings to you.

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Grace is the bringer of everything that we desire. Let's embrace grace!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me not to despise Your grace and all the benefits that come with accessing Your grace in every sphere of my life, in Jesus name.

Topic: NAME YOUR REALITY CORRECTLY (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you" - Numbers‬ ‭14:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    Bible Text: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    19. Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.

INSPIRATION: The tongue is so powerful, and so is our confession that our world is framed by what we say (Heb. 11: 3). "‭‭You're snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth" (Prov. 6:2‬ ). Your mouth reinforces and re-echoes the predominant thoughts in your heart. It follows therefore that our confession cannot be at variance with our thoughts. What the heart believes, the mouth confesses (Rom. 10: 10).

So Adam looked at each animal and called it a name and the name formed its nature. Their nature was derived from their name; their essence and scope of functionality was determined by their name. Don't be careless with utterances; you're unwittingly calling names and things into existence (Rom. 4: 17). How dreadful it is then when God said, "As you say in my ears so will I do unto you" (Num. 14: 28). If you only understand this verse within the context of prayer, then you're grossly mistaken!

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

You're a product of what you say; you're therefore advised to use your mouth to shape your future correctly.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me the wisdom to guard my heart and strength to refrain my mouth from calling into being the things you haven't named or planted in my life. Help me not to sow trouble where peace should reign, in Jesus name.

INSPIRATION: Life, sometimes, would create bumps in our way in form or delays, setbacks, rejection, failure, sickness, lack, poverty, divorce, pain, betrayals, suffering, etc. The aim is to blur your vision, derail your goals and make you lose focus until you begin to reason subjectively instead of being objective, articulate and forthright. It is often geared towards making you tense and forgetful of God's goodness while clinching to and personalising your ordeals as your personal traits.

It is dangerous to ascribe names and then personalise these ordeals. The moment the thought registers and you give voice to it, you legitimises it. Whatever Adam called a thing, it became! Isaiah says, "‭‭Do not call conspiracy everything this people call a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it" (Isa. ‭8:12‬). Don't call things what God hasn't called them. Even when it appears as hopeless as the dry bones in a valley, still prophesy as commanded rather than admit to the negative reality staring at you (Ezek. 37: 1 - 10)

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

It is dangerous to give a legitimate name to whatever God hasn't named so in your life. Don't do it!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me the wisdom to guard my heart and disciplined strength to refrain my mouth from calling into being the negative things you haven't named or planted in my life. Help me not to sow trouble where peace should reign, in Jesus name.

Topic: A NEW BREED ON THE BLOCK (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: "‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God" - Luke‬ ‭9:62‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    Bible Text: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    39. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

INSPIRATION: Make no mistakes about it, the new breed of people God is raising are those who truly love Jesus and are not ashamed to say so. They're full of the Holy Spirit, firebrand, demon-chasing, territory-taking and kingdom-dominating. They're radical in approach yet innovative in display. They're not just spiritually and heavenly conscious, they're earthly useful! They rule the physical plain same way they dominate the spiritual realm.

These crop of radical breeds revolutionise everything, from being tech-savvy to being boardroom gurus, from engineering science to arts, from music to economics, from agriculture to banking, everything! They seem to come with a special magic wand that changes the landscape of everything they're involved in. Nothing deters their resolve. The greater the odds, the more interested and enthusiastic they become until they crack its code. They come with a fighting spirit that nothing can break!

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

You can be born again, filled with Holy Spirit and still be radical about the pursuit of your purpose. Be that exceptional person today.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive grace to dominate every area of my life and to go at life with a passion that never looks back. Discouragement has nothing on me. I use obstacles as stepping stones until I reach to the top in my calling, in Jesus name.

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God" - Luke‬ ‭9:62‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    Bible Text: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    39. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

INSPIRATION: There's a new generation rising with a flaming fire in their bones who wouldn't take a no for an answer. They're so resolute, unflinching and dogged. They beat no retreat at life's threat but would rather run towards the battlefront. Their mantra is, "We can," no matter the odds in their way. This breed are bound for exploits, taking new territories and tearing down old mindsets. A new dawn is upon us. If you snooze, you'll miss the fire kindling everywhere.

Hebrews 10: 39 tells us. "But we are not of those who draw back." It underscores the fact that a lot are drawing back! Their zeal is weaker, their enthusiasm has flattened; hope is dashed and their reality appears to have sunk their faith. But this new breed knows that looking back is not an option. Their eyes are locked on the prize, no matter the price it would cost. Their hands are steady on the plough, completely sold out to a cause they cannot abandon midway. Their treasure lies ahead so is their heart (Lk. 12: 34).

    TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Those who draw back are sentenced to absolute ruin (Heb. 10 : 39); those who look back are not fit for the kingdom (Lk 9: 62). So, stay focused.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please keep my mind focused on only what's important. Help me to live above any compromise that may cause me to trade off my purpose and goals for what would ruin me, in Jesus name.
