Topic: NAME YOUR REALITY CORRECTLY (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you" - Numbers‬ ‭14:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Bible Text: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

19. Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.

INSPIRATION: The tongue is so powerful, and so is our confession that our world is framed by what we say (Heb. 11: 3). "‭‭You're snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth" (Prov. 6:2‬ ). Your mouth reinforces and re-echoes the predominant thoughts in your heart. It follows therefore that our confession cannot be at variance with our thoughts. What the heart believes, the mouth confesses (Rom. 10: 10).

So Adam looked at each animal and called it a name and the name formed its nature. Their nature was derived from their name; their essence and scope of functionality was determined by their name. Don't be careless with utterances; you're unwittingly calling names and things into existence (Rom. 4: 17). How dreadful it is then when God said, "As you say in my ears so will I do unto you" (Num. 14: 28). If you only understand this verse within the context of prayer, then you're grossly mistaken!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

You're a product of what you say; you're therefore advised to use your mouth to shape your future correctly.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me the wisdom to guard my heart and strength to refrain my mouth from calling into being the things you haven't named or planted in my life. Help me not to sow trouble where peace should reign, in Jesus name.
