  • F1: Wheatley Goes Gardening & Conspiracy Theories
    Mar 23 2026

The team are back this week as the F1 season hits a brief pause — a one-week hiatus before a looming five-week gap following the cancellation of the Saudi and Bahrain Grands Prix.

We start with the biggest news in the paddock: the sudden departure of Jonathan Wheatley from Audi. Why did he leave, and could a move to Aston Martin be on the cards? We also react to Mattia Binotto’s appointment as Audi Team Principal and what it means for the team’s future.

Next up, we dive into the growing controversy around Max Verstappen’s vocal disapproval of the new regulations. Do drivers have a responsibility to promote the sport, or is it fair game to be brutally honest under constant media pressure?

From there, things get a little unhinged as we unleash our wild 2026 conspiracies. Are Mercedes hiding something from the rest of the grid? Will Fernando Alonso go off on Honda engines in Japan? Nothing is off the table.

Finally, we look ahead to the Japanese Grand Prix and continue to debate the lingering question — are we actually enjoying this new era of Formula 1?

  • F1 Chinese GP: Shanghai, or Shang-low?
    Mar 17 2026

The team are back this week to break down all the action from the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai!

We kick things off with a lively debate on the new regulations and the kind of racing they have produced — do we love it, or loathe it? From there, we unpack a hugely popular first-time winner, Lewis Hamilton’s long-awaited return to the podium, and fiercely debate George Russell’s race weekend — just how good, or bad, was it, really?

Taylor also turns on his own favourite driver as we go completely no-holds-barred.

Elsewhere, we dive into what Antonelli’s win means for the Mercedes garage and future team dynamics, while McLaren somehow finds themselves under fire after their first double DNF since the 1960s.

It’s a mixed bag up and down the grid, as we (yes, actually) talk about the Alpine drivers, take a trip to Ocon Island, and revisit Jacqui’s already-struggling predictions… just two races into the season.

  • F1 Australian GP: It's New & It's Confusing!
    Mar 8 2026

After a chaotic weekend, the team are back to break down the Australian Grand Prix and the dramatic start to the F1 2026 season.

We take a look at how the new regulations impacted the racing — the sounds, the speed, and whether the broadcast actually managed to explain any of it to viewers. The opening laps left us riding a gauntlet of emotions as we tried to process the exhilarating (and slightly confusing) early-race action.

From there we dive deep into the race itself, including Oscar Piastri’s untimely pre-race exit, Aston Martin’s truly dreadful machinery, and the battle at the front between Mercedes and Ferrari.

Further down the grid we debate Max’s race, admire Arvid Lindblad’s impressive debut and post-race interview, and of course take aim at James’ obnoxious and insufferable support for the most vanilla would-be champion on the grid — George Russell.

The season is underway, the chaos has begun, and there’s plenty to unpack from Melbourne.

  • F1: Missiles & Mayhem
    Mar 2 2026

Jacqui and Nathan return for the final episode before F1 2026 roars into life in Australia! Taylor is absent avoiding missiles, while James and his famously pasty skin are fighting their own war with the sun on a beach holiday.

This week, we tackle the escalating conflict in the Middle East and what it could mean for the F1 calendar — both short and long term. With the region effectively shut down, how will drivers, teams, and freight even make it to Australia for Round 1? And what happens if Bahrain and Saudi Arabia (Rounds 4 and 5) can’t go ahead?

Do they get postponed? Scrapped entirely? Or do replacement tracks step in — Imola, Sepang, or even repeat race weekends? And looming over all of it: what wins out, money or safety?

We also dive into some off-track romances across the grid… and ask the most important question of all: will Kim Kardashian make an appearance at Albert Park?

The season hasn’t even started, and chaos is already here.

  • F1: Testing Recap
    Feb 23 2026

The team at F1 Drive to Describe are back to recap Formula 1’s testing season ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, diving into the biggest questions as the grid prepares to hit Melbourne.

Do Ferrari genuinely have a race-winning car? Could McLaren slide backwards? Just how rough might things get for Aston Martin? We also unpack Williams arriving late to the party, try to make sense of the confusing new regulations, and wonder how on earth they’ll be explained on the broadcast.

Elsewhere, we discuss Lando’s latest flip-flopping, Max’s long-term future in the sport, and run through our worst-case scenarios as the 2026 season gets ready to roar into life.

  • F1: Track Auction 2026
    Feb 16 2026

The team are all back on deck as we edge closer to the F1 season opener in Melbourne! This week, we return with our annual track auction — this time with a twist.

For 2026, we’re introducing a new segment where the owner of each track must blindly vouch for the excellence of the race… no matter how badly it goes. Regret is inevitable.

Will James bid heavily on Silverstone? Do bears shit in the woods? Will the new Madrid circuit attract serious interest? And can all four hosts avoid bidding on Barcelona quickly enough?

It’s a very strange way to preview the season ahead, but if you enjoy James talking for roughly 75% of a podcast, this one’s for you. Tune in to find out who walks away with the best six-track lineup for 2026.

  • F1: Season Preview 2026 - Dude, where's my car?
    Feb 11 2026

After an off-season sabbatical, the team at F1 Drive to Describe are back with their wildly unhinged 2026 predictions.

One host invents a brand-new word (“gridded”), one has clearly been day-drinking and completely misunderstands an entire segment—somehow predicting a death—and the other is James, already bathing in George Russell dominance before a single wheel has turned.

We run through stocks up and stocks down for every team, with Nathan managing to get an entire team’s driver lineup wrong. Rusty? Just a bit.

Along the way, we ponder the rumours of Mercedes dominance, question McLaren’s true pace, debate whether Oscar’s championship window was a one-year opportunity, and analyse the peculiar case of the missing Williams team.

We wrap things up with driver head-to-heads as Drive to Describe returns for another chaotic, opinionated, and questionably informed season of Formula 1.
