Hi everyone! My name is Aleksandra and I’m fifteen years old. I’m doing a school project that spans several months, in which we need to choose a topic that we’re interested in, and create some sort of product that represents our findings. This is my product: A podcast where I will be discussing the effects of large topics on children (mainly teens and pre-teens). Whether we realize it or not, I think we’ve all thought about how the things we’ve learned and when we learned them have affected us or others we know. I didn’t realize it until I started recording this podcast, but so much of what our world is is centered around how we learn and interact with it. I might be biased, but I think that some very interesting ideas have emerged in this podcast through the discussion of this topic, and I sincerely hope that if you listen to it, you will come out thinking of concepts you hadn’t really taken a moment to focus on before. And if not, I hope you enjoy listening to me try and peace it all together. I however will not tell you what to think of this topic. That parts up to you…© 2021 Beziehungen Elternschaft & Familienleben Hygiene & gesundes Leben Seelische & Geistige Gesundheit Sozialwissenschaften Wissenschaft
  • Episode 1: Introduction
    Oct 10 2021

In the first episode of my podcast ‘A Question of Growth’, I and a friend of mine will be defining the parameters of our discussion. What is our age demographic? Why did I choose this topic? What qualifies as a “large topic”? An introduction to how I’ve approached this topic, and a preview of what we will tackle in later episodes...

  • Episode 4: In Conclusion...
    Oct 10 2021

Wrapping it all up. “Marge” is back, and so is the original question we asked ourselves: “Should Children Be Exposed to Large Topics Sooner or Later? Tying up all our loose ends and thoughts (and slightly deviating into territory that could start the next generational war) we bring a conclusion to a four parter that has been so much fun to work on (for me at least). If you’ve made it this far: congratulations and thank you, and please enjoy the last chapter.

  • Episode 3: Speaking with Marta Rodriguez-Karpowicz
    Oct 10 2021

Deviating from our typical structure, this episode we are bringing back someone who has been very important to the early stages of my research. Marta Rodriguez-Karpowicz is one of two people that I interviewed at the very start of this process, and has been key to helping me shape outlooks on both sides of the topic. Before having spoken to anyone, my research was based on statistics and studies. I cannot express how beneficial it has been to speak to people in this field (also a shoutout to Camilla Gammelgaard-Baker who couldn’t make it onto the podcast, but was a joy to speak to!) As we revisit questions from months ago, we may see things in a whole new light.
