Today I'm joined by Grant Peyronel of DCFD's Rescue Squad 2. We discuss his formative years as a Corpsman in the military, joining DCFD, the rescue culture of DCFD, and the standards set by Special Operations and its schooling. We also discuss his first few months assigned to RS2, as he experienced multiple rescues, January 6th, and namely the January 29, 2025 collision near Reagan National Airport involving an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter, resulting in the deaths of all 67 people on board both aircraft.
