Luckily I also purchased a hard copy of Yoga Nidra made easy. I was trained as a YN facilitator, and I am always interested in broadening and deepening my knowledge, especially when offered by the co-founders of the Yoga Nidra Network. I am familiar with the excellent teachings of both Nirlipta and Uma, who are very dedicated and also very professional teachers. I was therefore very disappointed that this audiobook is narrated without the professionality they both show in their live teachings. The exaggerated female voice is the worst and makes me stop listening. (Sorry Uma), I’ve tried several times to be patient and mindful, but this theatrical performance stretches my tolerance to the limit. And the male voice is (although more pleasant to listen to) not fluent enough: there are ‘hiccups’ in the speed of speaking, so the flow of the texts gets distorted.

This book, BECAUSE of the excellent quality of both teachers, needs some thorough coaching by their publisher Hay House. Otherwise the heart of the matter: bringing Yoga Nidra further into the world / method Yoga Nidra Network, will be unnecessarily clouded because of this mostly unbearable recording. I do sincerely hope there will be a second edition of this audiobook. You both, and Yoga Nidra made easy, deserve better!!
