Über diesen Titel
Yoga and Ayurveda together form a complete approach for optimal health, vitality, and higher awareness. Yoga & Ayurveda reveals to us the secret powers of the body, breath, senses, mind, and chakras. More importantly, it unfolds transformational methods to work on them through diet, herbs, asana, pranayama, and meditation. This is the first audiobook published in the West on these two extraordinary subjects and their interface. It has the power to change the lives of those who listen to and apply it.

Being said, the knowledge in the book is so condensed and rich, particularly for people being interested in diving deeper.
Dr Frawley is comprehensively giving genuine knowledge, as far as I can see, not changed by any doctrin, any group or particular tradition or believe system. This of course gives the reader the selfresponsibility bavk of applying the knowledge correctly, even though certain suggestions can be applied directly, "out of the box".
The integration of Yoga and Ayurveda is wonderful and yes, many more yoga teacher should know about these relations. There is not only individuality in anatomics be found in each and every one (relating to generalistic approaches of many Hatha Yoga classes out there), but there are also the constitutional differences to be considered. Either you teach only Hatha, Kundalini (pranayama focused), Meditation, or you see Yoga as a mission to apply in the modern societies as technology for a life style. In most aspects, the students or clients will benefit from the ability to distinguish the practices, preferable for their constitution. And of course, it all starts with youself, applying this knowledge in your lifestyle.
The author is giving many philisophical and theoretical information upfront, in order to clarify the approaches & goals of yoga and ayurveda. These are already surpassing quite many so called "yoga teacher trainings" in their richness of basic understanding of Yoga.
Based on these principles, he then explains many practical aspects of yoga such as hatha, nutrition, pranayama, meditation, and drills in into the differences for each doshic type. This is eye opening, especially as you apply it firstly for your own type and how you connect with what you learn here. Again, it is a responsibility to bring holistic health as a yoga teacher to others. Everything is ignorance or misunderstanding. This book is leading to a more holistic perspective, definitely.
All (serious) Yoga teachers need to know
