I enjoyed the story a lot. one of the very best fantasy series for older kids and teenagers. my nine year old loved most of it but was always a bit scared by the hunt of smoke and shadows, so we'll wait a bit to read/listen to the next one.
the plot is very well planned out and doesn't give much away in terms of what will happen, who really is the bad guy here etc.
the narrator is a tiny bit too much for my taste. Some voices are a bit over the top, but overall very enjoyable performance.

Die Sprecherin hat ihren Job wirklich sehr gut gemacht. Sie hat jeder Person eine Stimme gegeben und wirklich spannend vorgelesen.

Die Sprecherin könnte eigentlich nur von einem Hörspiel übertroffen werden in der es mehrere Sprecher gibt.

Das Hörbuch war unterhaltsam und obwohl ich nicht jedes Wort verstanden habe, konnte man der Geschichte dennoch folgen ohne das Gefühl zu haben, wichtige Informationen nicht verstanden zu haben.

Wenn man sich für dieses Hörbuch interessiert macht es auf jeden Fall Sinn, den ersten Teil von Nevermoor zu kennen. "Wundersmith" baut komplett auf dem ersten Teil auf.

Fantastisches Hörerlebnis

Nachdem ich den ersten Teil der Geschichte auf deutsch gehört habe, war ich erst, habe ich für Teil zwei zum englischen Original gegriffen, weil das deutsche Hörbuch nicht fortgesetzt wurde. Ich war zunächst skeptisch, weil ich keine Übung mit dem Hören englischer Bücher habe, aber sowohl der Schreibstil der Autorin als auch die deutliche und im Tempo angenehme Aussprache der Sprecherin machen es einem leicht, der Geschichte zu folgen. Die einzelnen Charaktere werden teilweise mit Dialekten gesprochen, an die man sich erstmal gewöhnen muss, aber mit der Zeit geht das gut und macht Spaß. Zur Geschichte muss ich wohl nicht viel sagen, wer sich für dieses Hörbuch interessiert, hat ja vermutlich Teil 1 gelesen oder gehört und geliebt und wird auch bei dieser Fortsetzung nicht enttäuscht werden, ich freue mich schon jetzt auf das Erscheinen von Band 3!

Can’t wait for book three...
This story is so rich in every aspect a book needs to be, to be really good. It’s full of kindness and friendship and lovable characters, while being funny and exciting and beautiful at the same time.
I would definitely recommend it to old or young if you are the person to enjoy a fantastic and truely wonderful story!
