The set-up of the story is about a Group of "gentlemen" who abduct a young Lady as punishment for her uncle who embezzled the Heros money. Although the term "hero" is debatable. He wil not Adorn any bookboyfriends Lists. He was selfisch, self centred and basically any negative word which starts with "self-" you can think of. He destroyed this girl's life because his pride was hurt by her uncle!!!. Informing her that he plans to ruin her while graciously offering to make her his mistress afterward. And then being offended and upset when she refused. He becomes very rapey and regularly oversteps her boundaries. Basically Operating under the motto: a no is just a badly phrased yes!!!!!! I think the author wanted her Readers to think the Group of friends were adorable. But i could not get on Board. I was not on their side and i could not understand why the heroine falls for the "hero". I did not root for this couple. The last chapters I skipped mosly. Just no! Not going to continue with the series. There was no need for the villain in my opinion since the protagonists were villainous enough.
