I really enjoyed the book and wanted to listen to it on the go. I enjoyed it but the audiobook could have done with more editing. The narrator sometimes confuses Elliot with Edie and there are other glitches too, I like the narrator’s voice but it’s just generally not the best quality editing. If this sort of thing bothers you as it does me, maybe choose another.

This is my 2nd book from Mhairi Mcfarlane and I already turned into a big fan. Her stories (that I 've read) are funny and touching, the main characters are deep and genuine. Who is that girl? is not just a love story, it is a wonderful, well-written story about love, loss and finding oneself.

Ja, die Story ist absolut unwahrscheinlich und abgedreht - aber alles in sich stimmig!
Und es spiegelt das Zeitalter von Instagram@co., in dem jeder als anonymer Richter auftreten darf, Meinungen unhinterfragt als Fakten gelten, ganze Biographien erfunden, andere umgeschrieben werden und damit Menschen ohne eigene Schuld an den Pranger gestellt werden. Hinter der lustigen Geschichte lauern ein paar unheimliche Wahrheiten!

Das Hörbuch ist sehr gut gesprochen.

Romantik im Zeitalter von instagram&co.

Ich kannte schon einen anderen Titel der Autorin, der witzig und auch durchaus zu Herzen gehend war. Und mehr als nette Unterhaltung habe ich auch nicht erwartet. Aber ehrlich - die Geschichte war flach, vorhersehbar und stellenweise an den Haaren herbeigezogen. Außerdem ist sie meiner Meinung merkwürdig aufgebaut. Ohne zu sehr in den Inhalt zu gehen - viele Nebenhandlung sind viel zu ausführlich beschrieben, halten den Fortgang der Geschichte auf. Andererseits kommt die Hauptgeschichte erst kaum in Gang und wird sie so abrupt beendet, dass man einen Moment lang glaubt, das Hörbuch hätte einen Fehler.
Alles in allem, sehr mäßig und enttäuschend. Macht keine Lust, weitere Bücher der Autorin zu hören bzw. zu lesen.

In general a nice narrative about personal development, however the two Protagonists are madly in love after the first half of the book and take the other half to get together....
could have been much shorter and would have gained by that. The ending is abrupt, basically the authors seemed to have a deadline and had no time to develop a sensible ending.
A bit annoying and unrealistic is that Edy does not work much, so given how much time she is spending without working, but being paid, I think everybody would want her job by now.

too long, too predictable

It took me a while, to get into the charakter and Go get used to the voice... but after the first third i was really into it. The story is not really deep or has an surprising end but edi, the main charakter is very well and careful described.

Narrator did not help this book at all. It would help to have an English sense of humor as an American. I didn’t see any humor.
