I really liked how the author of this book uses empathy as a lens through which we can approach narcissism. Also I was quite surprised that each of us has some amount of narcissism inside, just we have to be aware whether it is toxic or not and how to treat it. This book also reveals the sad truth about the state many churches are in nowadays. It also offers help and hope of healing both to churches and individuals.

DeGroat show's a connection between the Enneagramm and Narcissim, wich is helpful to understand the dynamics & patterns of Narcissism in the different Types. He shows a way that, step by step, one by one, the church can be restored to live again from the cross, and not our western culture & distorted values.
A good read for every pastor, councilor and leader.
It helps to read this book with an open mind and self reflection.

I personally am not a fan of the enneagram as it is very much a part of the progressive church that is not godly. However, the study and experience in this book over the topic of narcissistic people and church leaders is worth your time to read about.
