Gage Dawson is one of the most unique characters I’ve come across—a haunted Army vet just trying to start over, scraping by as a thief in suburban Cleveland. The story pulls you in fast and never lets go. Marsick’s writing is sharp, full of creative, funny comparisons that bring the scenes to life, even in the darkest moments.
The ending made me wonder if there’s more to come for Gage, but even if not, this was one unforgettable listen.
