A summer romance for one, please!
One summer. An island resort escape. Solitude to banish the demons in my past.
What begins as a chance meeting on a beach during sunset turns into the most romantic, life-changing five weeks I could ever dream up with two of the most amazing men I've ever met. The end of summer comes all too soon, and we're forced to part ways, though we promise to keep in touch.
Fate isn't letting this be the end, though. The start of the new school year finds me on Alka's soccer team. We're not sure whether to celebrate being together again or hide our forbidden relationship.
As it turns out, the decision might not be up to us; Alka receives an anonymous email with an ultimatum—kick me off the team or they're going to expose our relationship to the Dean.
This is an LGBTQIA+ story with content for mature listeners. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

Roux, Oscar & Alka are perfect. I love them so much it's not even funny.
This story begins with Roux starting his self-discovery journey after an abusive relationship. With the help of his brother ( who has his own book, btw ), he starts the process of changing his life for the better and goes on a 6 weeks vacation on a private island that is queer friendly after he decides to relocate and start over in a different place. What he didn't know was that on that island, he would find something he wished for, but he was not looking for... the loves of his life.
Alka always knew what he wanted when it came to his HEA, which is no easy feat, and I am so happy he knew deep down what he needed in order to live the perfect life for himself. He is happily married with Oscar, but half of his heart is empty, someone is missing... his other half. While on the island where he spends 8 weeks/year with his husband, they start having some serious and uncomfortable conversations that make Alka come to terms with some of the things he was either avoiding or didn't want to accept. I'm not gonna say more about this, that's for you to discover.
The moment Alka and Roux meet is so beautiful in its simplicity. They meet on the beach at sunset and start talking by admitting some truths since we all know that sometimes it's easier to talk to strangers who don't know you are not biased. I loved how they tried to throw into the universe what they truly wish for by manifesting their dream life without realizing how important they will become for each other in a short time.
Oscar is happy with his life. He is married with the love of his life, he has a successful career, and he loves his job. What else can he ask for? Well, apparently, he observed how his soulmate is not completely happy. He saw how he gave up on his dream life and just accepted defeat. This is not something that sits well with Oz, and I'm happy he pushed Alka to talk about this and face his fears because otherwise, he wouldn't have met Roux.
Roux & Alka start their relationship separately, and Oscar is happy to watch his husband fall in love... what he didn't take into consideration is that he will also fall in love. Roux was apparently the piece, not only Alka was missing, but Oscar too. They never expected Roux to have something more than a friendship with Oz if he wasn't comfortable. The only thing they wanted was for them to get along, and along they got... a bit too well.
Watching them fall in love was beautiful, and while some people might comment on things missing in the beginning ( like important details they should've discussed but didn't ), I don't feel that way. I don't feel that way because this is actually something that Crea mentioned in the book in the perfect way. They got together on a remote island, far from tech... it was quality time at its finest. They talked a lot about things that truly mattered. They got to know each other on a deeper level, build a solid foundation for their relationship, and yeah, maybe they skipped a few steps but they will revisit that later in the book when they return to reality.
For being an MMM, this book does not have a lot of spice. It didn't bother me AT ALL. We truly got to experience them getting to know each other, fall in love, all the good things. I'm not saying there are not sexy times because that's not true, but it's not as much as you'd expect from a trouple. Their feelings run deep, and we see that throughout the whole book.
The friend group in this book was so good. I got to see them in other books in this universe, but... yeah, the cameos in this book were top tier.
If I had to choose tho what I loved the most about this book are the topics Crea decided to include and talk about. We had some deep conversations ( as I mentioned ) that involved serious topics and were used as dialogue between the characters while talking about their relationship, expectations, and stuff. Through those convos, she showed us what a healthy relationship looks like. We got topics like marriage, kids, career, life goals, self-love, confidence, family, friendships, and CONSENT. This one was the biggest turn-on if you ask me.
This is my 3rd poly relationships I've read from Crea, but let me tell you, I did not expect this. This book is character based and discusses topics that are not intended for those under 18 years of age due to graphic scenes and situations.
Did this book have its flaws? Yes, the answer is yes, BUT everything else just makes up for those small things that might bother some people.
10/10, absolutely highly recommend.

The audiobook was absolutely exceptional. I have been waiting for it so I can do my re-read and I do not regret it. The narrator did an exceptional job, and I know for a fact I will listen to this again.
Love them, love them so much.
