Second part
of the potato factory. Althoug a brilliant narratet story. In the beginning I don't like the way the story ist written out of two views. But after a while I become accustomed. You can't stop listening onto the end...

Not what I expected...
I expected an interesting story about two very unlike brothers, about their lives in Australia and in New Zealand with the Maoris in society's context at the time. I am not at all curious about how to cheat when playing cards and for my liking, there is way too much violence, be it on a whaling ship, in prison or in the Maori wars. I learned just a little bit about Maori thinking, i.e. what's taboo, but I am convinced there could have been a lot more information about their culture. So, I chose the wrong book and therefore broke up half way through. Maybe the second half of the book is really interesting but I will never know...
