Ich habe bereits alle ToG Bücher gelesen und konnte sie kaum weglegen. Unglaublich spannend und hier nun auch mit toller Sprecherin erzählt!

Meine Lieblingsreihe

This is the author's first book, you can tell she is finding her voice.
The story is a little slow at the beginning, but it is definitely a slow burn and once the spark burns ist actually a great story.
The narrator has a pleasant voice even if some characters are read a bit funny, it does not interfere further with the audiobook.

The story would be more believable if the prota would be older. She is 18 in the books and an unconquerable assassin which had been 2 years in prison. So she must have been 16 when she was captured and her career as an assassin must have been before that. That’s highly unbelievable and took some reading fun off of me. At some point I just imagined she would be end of 20 or something and all the other characters are older as well.
All in one I liked the story and I will buy the second part to see where the storyline is heading.

The speaker wasn’t my favorite and I did not like her „men’s voice“ it sounded like closed nose and arrogant voice to me. But it is hearable.

It has been a great start of a great serie, excellent narration! Fingers crossed for Book 2.

At the start we have our protagonist Celeana Sardothian, who is an assassin and was sent as punishment to the Salt Mines of Endovier. Then she is offered to partake in a competition, where she has to face 23 other champions to become the Kings personal assassin. Will she win this competition?

This was great! The narration was very week done and the story is so good. Liked it more than ACOTAR and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The reader changed between voices well, even though sometimes, some voices were too dramatic for my taste.

Die beste Reihe, die ich je gelesen habe. Buch 1+2 sind wie kleine Appetizer und lassen noch Luft nach oben, aber ab Buch 3 wird es grandios. Es kommen mehrere Erzählperspektiven hinzu, was mich anfangs genervt hat, aber mittlerweile liebe ich die Charaktere auch und es hat das gesamte Leseerlebnis immens gesteigert, vor allem im Hinblick auf das große Finale.
Diese Reihe ist einfach fantastisch, um einiges besser als Court of Throns and Roses, und bisher haben mich keine anderen Bücher so begeistert und ergriffen. In der Originalfassung auf Englisch ist das Ganze - ich wiederhole mich hier- grandios.

Maas is my guilty little pleasure. She brings you to worlds that are engaging and formed. I absolutely love her books.

I loved the whole story! Loved the strong main characters, exiting story and well written lovestories. The book is well ridden by Elisabeth Evans, since she has a unique voice for every character and brings them to life.
