Ich habe bereits alle ToG Bücher gelesen und konnte sie kaum weglegen. Unglaublich spannend und hier nun auch mit toller Sprecherin erzählt!

Maas is my guilty little pleasure. She brings you to worlds that are engaging and formed. I absolutely love her books.

Great performance and exciting story

This is the author's first book, you can tell she is finding her voice.
The story is a little slow at the beginning, but it is definitely a slow burn and once the spark burns ist actually a great story.
The narrator has a pleasant voice even if some characters are read a bit funny, it does not interfere further with the audiobook.

Celeana is a typical protagonist for Sarah J Maas, beautiful, strong, gets EVERY man's attention, sarcastic. That's not a problem in itself, I could just personally identify myself better with her if she had insecurities or flaws or if her character acted impulsively or wrong sometimes, including some consequences. Just a little more realism, no one is perfect and never acts out. And of course she gets along really well with her archenemies, we know that from ACOTAR .. why do Dorian and ... the captain see her as trustworthy and joke around with her like 2 days after they met? A bit strange ... The story itself is exciting and the story about magic is interesting, it is also very well written :)
The ending with the old queen was a bit far-fetched, why is Celeana so important to her? Otherwise I don't really have any complaints, I hope Celeana and the captain get together, they are cute.

I really loved the solid world building. It was easy to follow, and it had an interesting main story. It took me a minute to really grow interested in all the characters, but I think that’s totally normal when you’re reading your first book in a series. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid story, well, rounded characters, and a romance that is important, but not the reason for the story.
