The portals have opened, and the Demon King is coming to Earth. In... twenty years.

Josh Becker was once pretty average. That was until he won the Gigaball Lottery and got hundreds of millions of dollars (after tax). No, wait. He was still pretty average at heart even after that. It was when the portals started arriving in his backyard and he had to kill monsters every night when he started to become more of a special guy.

Now armed with some kind of video-gamey "System", Josh is minding his own business, making sure to deal with the portals and the threats they send each and every night. But one night, a new bonus portal arrives, and an elven warrior princess in dubious-looking armor strolls out. And that's when things get weird.

Princess Elysia has come to Earth from Antheria, bearing the grim news that she and Josh will have to fight alongside her comrades, the Hero's Party, to defeat the Demon King known as Black Lazarus... but when she checks her Chronos Crystal, she realizes that battle isn't scheduled for another twenty years.
