    Inhaltsangabe

The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying is a contemporary spiritual masterpiece and source of sacred inspiration that interprets Tibetan Buddhism for the West.

Sogyal Rinpoche presents a radically new vision of living and dying. He shows how to go beyond our fear and denial of death to discover what it is in us that survives death and is changeless. Rinpoche explains simple yet powerful practices that listeners can use to transform their lives, prepare for death, and help the dying.

    Missing important parts

This audio book is heavily edited, I don‘t understand why is there so many parts missing? Changing narrators is not the best idea ...

Very interesting but the speakers are annoying

The amount of different speakers makes it really unpleasant to listen to. Sometimes the audio is just bad, sometimes the dialects are.

Wisdom to make peace with the fear of death

The tibetan book of living and dying really was a profound journey into the wisdom of dying,
revealing the common fears that oftentimes people find themselves surrounded with.

I really found much insight in both, the history and knowledge of the traditions approach to living and dying as well as the meditations themselves.
Right after finishing the audiobook I went for a silent meditation retreat with Hridaya Yoga in Mazunte in Mexico, where some of the teachings of the tibetan book of living nd dying were taught in lectures and meditations, which allowed for me to integrate the teachings even more.

I would have wished through to get a PDF alongside with the audiobook for the different practices and traditions explained in the book, which would have made it easier to investigate into further research.
