A frosty December, Bethan Griffiths has returned home for Christmas to unwrap secrets. It's the 1970s and she is back in the village of Foel in the Welsh hills to raise her daughter. Very clever story with the perfect narrator . It takes some time to get into the story, but once you do it takes you by the hand and guides you through a maze of mysteries and revelations.

The story itself is interesting and I liked the satisfying ending
There are a lot of characters which are probably easier to follow when you read the book instead of listening to it.

One thing bothered me to no end. The narrator is extremely overacting and sometimes almost whispers to be dramatic. I absolutely did not enjoy her. Listen to the sample and device for yourself. Maybe it is just hit my cup of tea.
As always I listened to it at 2.0 speed which made it bearable
