*PRE-ORDER BETH O'LEARY'S BRAND NEW UNMISSABLE ROMANCE, THE NAME GAME, NOW*

'Beth O'Leary is that rare, one-in-a-million talent who can make you laugh, swoon, cry and ache all in the same book' Emily Henry

Addie and her sister are on an epic road trip to a friend's wedding in rural Scotland. But, not long after setting off, a car slams into theirs. The driver is none other than Addie's ex, who she hasn't seen since their traumatic break-up two years earlier.

Dylan and his best mate are heading to the wedding too, so Addie has no choice but to offer them a ride. And with four hundred miles to go, they can't avoid confronting the very messy history of their relationship . . .

Will they make it to the wedding? And, more importantly, is this really the end of the road for Addie and Dylan?

Kritikerstimmen

A charming, heartfelt story of love found and love potentially lost - The Road Trip is steamy and sexy, properly witty, and unabashedly romantic. I couldn't get enough! I loved the glimpses into "then" and "now". Nobody does it like Beth does
Read this! Absolutely loved it!
This book is perfect
The Road Trip is a humorous yet deeply moving journey toward confronting the past, forgiveness, and reconciliation, with a poignant detour to a summer of young love in Provence. I loved the vivid cast and the depth and intimacy in O'Leary's writing
I loved The Road Trip and think it's O'Leary's best yet. Moody and wise, exploring the contrast between the all-consuming recklessness of first love and what happens years on, after the break up, after the end. And all in a closed-set car journey . . . O'Leary has a knack for articulating the things we all think and feel in relationships
O'Leary does it again! The Road Trip is another sure-fire hit, filled with characters you won't forget. You'll be fully invested in Dylan and Addie's relationship from the word go and the moment you turn that final page you'll be wondering how on earth you'll survive the wait until your next O'Leary hit!
Completely fresh and unpredictable, The Road Trip is so compelling, I couldn't put it down!
So romantic and moving and brilliantly told, with characters who are relatable but beautifully flawed. The Road Trip is an absolute knockout and it's going to be a huge hit
I enjoyed The Road Trip immensely. O'Leary is such a wonderful writer, she weaves laughter and tears seamlessly through her novels and I look forward to reading every one. Joyful and uplifting
An achingly tender love story - funny and moving in equal measure. Beth O'Leary's best book yet
The Road Trip is tender, moving and beautifully crafted
From the queen of beach bag reads herself, Beth O'Leary's latest novel is the bookish summer staple you can't miss
Beth is quite rightly earning her title as 'Queen of Uplit' with her funny and mood-lifting third book
The Flatshare author returns with a total triumph of a book! (Claire Frost)
A high-concept romcom that's funny, relatable and tender
O'Leary's witty prose and quick dialogue has never let up for a second
This is as funny as Beth's debut The Flatshare but with a depth of emotion that clings to you after you finish the book
An unforgettable read. So much more than a romance, the author's sure, light touch with this story evokes warmth, wisdom and wit
A warm and lovely tale - this left us with a smile on our face
A warm and lovely read

It was sometimes a little hard to follow and I needed a minute to remember what happened before, but I really liked the book. I got the urge to shout: „just tell him/her that, don’t be stupid!“ more then once, but it really showed that we are alle just a sum of everything that happend to us up until that point and that we would probably react differently a few months later

I really liked it

Leider langweilig

I rarely have auch visceral negative reactions to books or audiobooks. But I disliked basically everything about this right from the start. Both readers have voices and tones that really grated on my nerves. Fake plummy and whiny. The characters were both unlikeable for how self absorbed they were. And the whole thing has a Mary Sue feel to it that made me cringe. Had to stop listening. I did like Beth O’Leary’s other two books, so quite disappointed.

Intensely disliked it

The narrators, especially the woman are rage-inducing. Male characters are depicted as extremely unlikeable, even the supposed 'hero' in the story.
Unfortunately, O'Leary seems to have a liking for especially toxic relationships, as can be seen from her other novels. There is nothing to be learned from this story except people are selfish and will destroy personal relationships rather than communicate. I thought we had moved on from the times when a female character had to prove that she is loveable? Plus, *SPOILER,/ TRIGGER WARNING* s.a. content depicted as a catalyst to make the female character look bad in the plot. This part ist especially disgusting and outdated.

Horrible Narrators, Horeible Characters
