I liked the idea and how the characters interacted with each other. they all feel very alive. flawed and annoying at points but very alive.

the one thing I didn't love was the trope about adults not really believing the teenagers/kids in a world were gods and vampires are normal occurrence.

The story is an unusual take on the classic young adult novel. It is deceptively light. I haven't read the book first, but enjoyed this audiobook. The speaker's voice plays a wide range of emotions, well suited to the "teenage" environment.
