Exzellente Geschichte, genau wie die beiden anderen - aber noch spannender, was ich nicht für möglich gehalten hätte.

Der Plot und die Protagonisten sind interessant- ein Krimi der einfach gute Unterhaltung ist. Der Sprecher hat eine angenehme tiefe Stimme und spricht die Dialoge sehr gut. Beim Erzähltext hat er leider eine Sprechmelodie, die mit dem Sinn des vorgelesenen oft nicht zusammen geht. Wenn man das Hörbuch nur zum Einschlafen verwenden will, ist es perfekt, wenn man allerdings der Handlung folgen möchte, ist das kontraproduktiv und hat mich streckenweise etwas genervt.

This story is connected with the two books earlier and is the highlight of connecting the stories and bringing unexpected turns making listening to this story very curious and interesting. Enjoyed this story a lot.

Sherlock of the 21 Century

I cannot praise this series enough, very well constructed intelligent story, good credible characters, lots of tension and some hints which wet the appetite for more. I just hope that Mark Dawson is hurrying up to give us the next instalment, I am eagerly waiting for it!

Sehr spannend, tolles Buch! Der Sprecher liest sehr gut vor. Alle 3 Bucher der Reihe waren spannend und ich würde gerne mehr über Atticus Priest lesen!

I quite enjoyed the first two books in the series, but this one was a drag. Atticus' obnoxiousness is really getting old, and I find it very hard to believe that the police would continue to involve him in their investigations.

Then there are the endless boring minutiae of daily life that fill up the story unnecessarily; meals are getting prepared, meals are getting eaten, a dog's ears are scratched, its food bowls are filled, walkies and showers are taken, coffee and tea are made, sugar and milk is added, countless cuppas are drunk and so on and so on. Who cares?! I really don't need to be informed about every time our hero has a bite to eat or has to pee. I assume he does both regularly, so there's really no need to mention these things so often and in such excruciating detail.

The case Atticus and Mack are investigating is still the same. Yes, Jack-of-Hearts, serial killer and self-appointed avenger extraordinaire, is still on the loose. Apparently there's an endless supply of ruthless paedophiles among the rich and powerful, and Jack is determined to get them all. We've been through this in the previous books, and the case should've been solved by now.

I didn't enjoy this book much, and Mr Priest and I are going to part ways now. There's a fourth book available, but I'm not going to bother with it.
