At the age of twenty-seven, Whitney Dafoe was forced to give up his life as a photographer who traveled the world. Bit by bit a mysterious illness stole away the pieces of his life: First, it took the strength of his legs, then his voice, and his ability to eat. Das Buch erzählt über den Werdegang von Vater und Sohn, die nicht nur durch Ereignisse, sondern auch durch Personen stark beeinflusst wurden – durch die, die ihr Leben maßgeblich veränderten und ihren jetzigen Kampf ermöglichten.
Ich habe dieses Hörbuch mit dem Wissen begonnen, dass es momentan noch kein Happy End für Patienten mit Myalgischer Enzephalomyelitis/ Chronischem Fatigue Syndrom gibt, trotzdem gibt es Hoffnung. Und das zeigt dieses Buch deutlich.
