Absolutely loved this one by Lisa Jewell - compelling, deep, surprising, tense, modern. Most thrillers are in black and white to me in terms of character and Lisa is blazing saturated technicolour.
The only thing predictable about this ending is how unpredictable it is.

Could not stop listening! The narrator was captivating and the voice was perfect for this book! The story was a classic Lisa Jewell mystery, full of twists and turns. Loved it!

Ich hab es innerhalb kürzester Zeit gehört. Die Geschichte ist verdammt gut erzählt und die Sprecherin genial!

I enjoyed the whole setup and felt suspense from the very first page on. But I had trouble connecting with the character of Tallulah, I just didn’t really come to like or feel for her. After the second third of the book I also felt like it was a bit too stretched and foreseeable but nevertheless it was a great story which I enjoyed listening to, especially because of the amazing narrator.

This story kept me glued to my headphones even in the middle of the night. Very intriguing plot and characters, nice little twists in-between, but nothing too far-fetched.
I loved Joanne Frogatts performance. She is no less than brilliant in bringing the characters to life.
