The New Covenant of Damascus gives great insight into the beliefs and practices of the Essenes. In this book you will hear a fresh English translation of the Damascus Document, Community Rule, and other Dead Sea Scrolls. You will learn that they believed in the Messiah who was to be God incarnate, virgin born and have a First and Second Coming. They taught the first time the Messiah comes He will die to pay for our sin nature and reconcile us to the Father. They even predicted this event would occur in AD 32! You can see that the apostles John, Peter, and Paul taught exactly the same doctrine.
The scrolls revealed in this book were kept out of the public view until the late 1990s. After listening to them you will understand why. In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul taught that eventually all Israel would be saved. I believe this will be, in part, because the Dead Sea Scrolls reveal exactly what the original Judaism taught about the Messiah.
